@WeirdBeluga This is a great game! I'm really enjoying it, so thank you all! It definitely brings back PS2 nostalgia. While the game doesn't run quite as smoothly as I'd hoped on the Xbox Series S, I'm still absolutely loving it
@Hridaisme I'd say Rust, but I do not think Rust will replace C++ on existing high-performance systems like trading systems, game development, graphics engines, etc.
I’m not an experienced programmer yet, so I try to limit AI usage to actually learn instead of getting dumber. ( Something like "vibe learning," not "vibe coding") But working in tech, companies force you to push AI into every workflow.
Frankly, I’m deeply demotivated. Writing prompts isn't fun, there's zero satisfaction compared to actually writing code.
It makes me want to pivot to game dev. From my perspective it feels like small indie studios still seem to value creativity, craft, and typing real code over hitting artificial AI metrics. If I have to deal with endless sprint cycles and industry forcing to use AI to be more productive, I’d rather do it while making games.
