Words and context matters.
1. Leaving HS, Tharp ran 13.72. He ran one wind aided 13.3 He was an avg sprinter in the 100/200. He also had an AAU team. Wonder how they would feel about that statement. He was signed before he ran the windy 13.3 showing his future college coach saw potential.
2. Tharp made a MAJOR leap in performance (while going up to 42’) as a freshman at Auburn. Ken Harden (who is not a feed the cat coach) is THE driver in all of this!! People should be seeking to learn what he did if they are impressed by the WR.
If Coach Ingram feels like FTC gave him direction, awesome. That’s a huge leap to say he wouldn’t have made it to this stage without out it and it being shared as a quote with no context. I get that he’s probably excited when texting (understandable).
My friend @AfriKenTiger wouldn’t respond but I’ve respected his work for so long not to on his behalf.
@RaceBanonn@str8texanz72@travismillerx13 4x200 and 300h combo is not the same. Additionally, the point is he doesn’t hurdle. This quite literally could have been his first hurdle race which is impressive.
Most elite athletes are not going sub-39 their first time out
Blessed and honored to receive the @BJMedia1 DB of the year Award after a dominate season. Thank you @DEdgeFootball for a great 4 years and a ring, extremely proud to represent the school and the team. #AGTG
HS FB/TF guys.
Word of advice.
If you are senior and playing football and you haven’t been on, scheduled a visit or received an offer….
The probability of you playing D1 football is lowering by the week.
Track and Field is NOT the backdoor to football.
If you have received more track interest than FB, that might be your sport at the next level.
You’ve got some adult decisions to make. Talk to your support system and have open and honest conversations about where you are and where you are trying to go.
Sprint coaches you MUST 100% teach your sprinters how to bound ‼️
Just because they aren’t jumpers is no excuse to leave that out!
At the very least just an alternating bound. And if you can’t teach it figure it out, that’s your job ‼️
‼️ There’s Jucos and preps that are promising exposure that aren’t going to events where the coaches are.
If your Juco or prep isn’t going to these Juco jamborees or tournaments - you’re probably at the wrong Juco or the wrong prep. 🤷🏽♂️

1. Register with the NCAA eligibility center
2. Start looking at your transcripts and make sure you are taking you education seriously. If not, time to step up. Nothing worse than a bad transcript
3. Check out https://t.co/AmLqNDE0LY and look for conference and ncaa results to see where your consistent marks fall
4. Sit down with your parents and ALL coaches to discuss the improvement plan for the remainder of your hs time. Have open, honest, and respectful conversations (plural).
5. While you are talking with the adults. Be open for feedback about where your maturity is at this point in your young life. Where are you doing well, where do you need to improve.
@TrackSpice_ Slow reaction based on slight movement/tilt…I’m not sure we can a full assessment on his start based on one practice(day). Additionally, those aren’t scrubs out there.
