@KindBuilders No one got back to my complaint, so I'll try here. Ravenscroft School at home time, Canning Town, moving unsecured loads close to children (no banksman). The man at the gate shrugged when I spoke up. This needs investigating.
@PureGym is there currently a joining fee at Beckon Gym, I saw a poster with an offer 30%, no fee in the window? Told a friend (who plans on joining) and they were surprised to see there was a fee.
This is a message to the fly-tippers blighting our towns and villages:
For too long, your actions have gone unpunished. That ends now.
We'll use drones and new tech to identify your vehicle. Then we'll crush it.
Mass starvation. Ethnic cleansing. Genocide.
That is what our government is enabling โ and it should be eternally ashamed.
End all arms sales to Israel now.
For the first time in over 20 years, Israel has deployed tanks in the West Bank, after expelling 40,000 Palestinians from refugee camps.
This is a prelude to full annexation, and makes a mockery of the ceasefire agreement that Israel continues to violate.
We are witnessing ethnic cleansing โ and our governmentโs ongoing failure to defend international law is utterly, utterly shameful.
Palestinians are human beings who deserve self-determination.
That is why we will continue to demand economic sanctions, a full arms embargo, and the only path to peace: an end to the occupation of Palestine.
Why are politicians talking about the destruction of Gaza as if itโs some random disaster?
They know the truth: they spent 15 months rejecting our calls to stop arming Israel.
Gaza must be rebuilt for Palestinians โ and those responsible for its demolition must face justice.
This is not an accurate description of events at all.
I was part of a delegation of speakers, who wished to peacefully carry and lay flowers in memory of children in Gaza who had been killed.
This was facilitated by the police. We did not force our way through.
When we reached Trafalgar Square, we informed police that we would go no further, lay down flowers and disperse.
At that point, the Chief Steward, Chris Nineham was arrested. We then turned back and dispersed.
I urge the police to release all bodycam footage and retract its misleading account of events.
Chris Nineham has organised anti-war demonstrations for over 25 years.
Today, he was arrested whilst arranging for flowers to be laid in memory of children who had been killed in Gaza.
His arrest is an affront to the democratic rights of us all โ he must be released now.
Imagine if instead of saying we must cut services for everyone, we said we must cut profits for the rich.
They won't even suffer because they are already millionaires/billionaires.
So I say, do that.
Nothing has happened to parenting, something wrong has happened in the governance of the country. The cost of living, constant hikes in fuel, duty, mortgage rates, interest and clothing mean that parents still struggle to juggle the demands of employers who underpay or refuse to hire due to supposed protected characteristics
Ken Murphy is Tescoโs UK CEO and the highest paid supermarket boss.
He gets ยฃ9,930,000 a year, but is registered to pay tax in the Republic of Ireland.
Not a penny of his outrageous salary is collected in tax, despite almost all Tescoโs earnings coming from the UK.
Itโs theft.
