@orthodox22790 1) Berdyaev was a questionable Orthodox. His ideas about “new age of Spirit” were heavily criticized by Fr Seraphim Rose (Orthodoxy and the religion of the future)
2) Teachings of Sergei Bulgakov are condemned by ROCOR as heretical.
Please, be cautious.
@HAHazony This is unchristian. Mysteries are available to everyone and should be taught to everyone.
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops” (Matthew 10:27)
@ohrree I highly recommend the book “Saint Silouan the Athonite by Elder Sophrony (Sakharov). It gives a very good understanding of the nature of the grace and, in particular, explains the quoted phrase of St. Silouan.
@noetic_healing I see. I didn’t know that. I go to ROCOR church in Montreal and the liturgy 95% in Church Slavonic and Russian. It is okay for me because I speak Russian but most of my friends cannot so they join either Antiochian or OCA churches
@noetic_healing God bless you! May I ask, if you don’t speak Russian (or don’t understand Church Slavonic), is it difficult for you to participate in the liturgy?
