@simonm223 Yeah that's probably it. Potatoes and soy grow in plots, and corn in mazes, I guess, not fields.

@simonm223 Well, carrots can grow almost year-round and be harvested several times in a season. If their stat is total yield that probably helps.

@simonm223 We both should have checked our stats on this. According to the government's website our largest field crop is carrots. Although I don't know where they pull that from, their own published crop receipts stats only list "potatoes", "soybeans", and everything else on a third line.

@simonm223 True (coming back to this late) but the dominance of those crops is largely due to economics, not growing conditions. Lots of food crops would grow here if anyone planted them.
