“Copy Nothing” Jaguar Land Rover is exploring plans to develop a new petrol engine after coming under fire over a controversial “woke” rebrand. They are reportedly drawing up proposals for a Rex vehicle powered partly by an ICE, despite earlier pledges to go “all electric”.
790kWh in 3 minutes.
That’s enough to power the average uk household for almost 3 months.
Unbelievably, the majority of this energy goes to waste while over that distance it belches out 207kg of CO2 along with loads of PM, CO, NOx and SO2
But, hey, so long as he gets a 3 min fill-up, f*ck everyone else.
@thefunkygorilla@OctopusEnergy lol - that is a joke right? I’d have been drawing circa 600A if @OctopusEnergy figure were correct. Putting their fig into context, Whole household use, less than 6,000kWh total since Jan 1
BMW is stalling plans to restart production of electric Minis at its factory in Oxford. The Cowley plant, an auto-building site since 1913 and the original home of Morris Motors, was bought by the German carmaker twenty years ago.
The future of this iconic manufacturing hub is now in doubt. And a big part of the reason is the over-zealous imposition by Labour of “net-zero” rules originally introduced by the Tories.
Britain's overly-punitive electric vehicle (EV) rules are pushing us towards an economic, political and societal disaster.

Update someone over on Tesla owners group reported EVERY EV charging space was occupied by a petrol or diesel car today at the new chargers in Bridgend !!!!!!!!!@TeslaOwnersUK 😳😳😳
I can spot 2 EVs but that's still slot 10 out of 12.
Nice ideal @TeslaOwnersUK but only 7 of the occupied new Tesla superchargers are EVs!!!
7 EVs - 5 non EVS new V 4 chargers Bridgend.
Seen several cars frustrated they can't charge!!
Driver who came back weren't happy i pointed out it's for EVs.
They had a point there's no sign to at they can't!
We’ve launched a consultation to shape the 2030 phase-out of the sale of new petrol and diesel cars, which will:
✅ Support jobs and industry
✅ Encourage car manufacturers to invest in the UK
✅ Help more people switch to electric
All part of our Plan for Change.
@a6ruled_WFH@MichaelDnes1 Common place for their EV scooters/motorbikes. Such a “simple” solution that resolves re-charge times and worries about your batteries failing.
Is the UK’s electric vehicle target about to fall to pieces? And why might it all hinge on parking in East London?
I shouldn’t tell you – yet – because our report only goes online the new year. But, since it’s running in the papers, here’s a thread.🧵🔌🚗
