@IVyesandme Mine did have some and the counsellor was rubbish. Just started going on about her own fertility challenges which I didn’t find helpful as could have same conversation with my friends rather than someone who was meant to be a professional

Anyone with personal experience of children with type 1 diabetes? #T1D how do you cope with nightly tears and pleas from your child to take diabetes away and stop them having it for all their lives. I am finding it so incredibly hard to cope with.

THREAD: My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes today. I feel completely numb and shocked. She’s been amazing - but we havnt broken it to her that the injections are part of her everyday life now and not just in hospital. I don’t know how we do that.
