@plexieym Hyperbole exaggerates a fact. You would have said “this is the ugliest bag ever” and that would have been the hyperbole.
“Y’all need to stop pretending”isn’t an exaggeration tuu. It’s an allegation that people are lying about their taste. Subali mexi
i’m not toxic. i’m reactive. there’s a person somewhere calling me difficult, and they’re leaving out the part where they pushed every boundary i set, ignored every signal i gave, and then acted shocked when i finally stopped being gentle about it.
Being cheated on.
You will literally feel like you’re choking on your own heart or someone physically stabbed your heart continuously yet you’re still breathing.
detach without resentment. accept it for what it is. let it be without waiting for change. move forward without looking back. let it go without searching for something new without healing first.
tolerating always turns into resentment. at first, you call it patience, then love. but what it really is, is self abandonment. every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score. eventually, the bill comes due.
until you can empathise with a woman on the basis of her humanity, and not her proximity (imagine if that was your mum, sister, daughter etc), you still have work to do tbh
I have a complicated relationship with food/appetite, I genuinely wish people would take less offence or make it less about themselves when they see me not eating. Most of all I need people to listen when I say I am not hungry or do not feel like eating.
I don’t want my daughter to be like me. I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologize less. Take up more space. Ask bigger questions. Dream louder. And if that means she becomes everything I wasnt… GOOD!
Mind you nobody knew this show existed until Nigerians started gassing it up
Once again Nigerians are giving South Africans global audiences as usual while they continue being xenophobic to us
When will we learn???
