I, Voyager is a free, open-source software planetarium & Godot Engine platform for creating games and educational software in a realistic solar system.
Our solar system simulator is in beta!
Try our Planetarium and please give us feedback!
I, Voyager is free, open-source software built on the free, open-source #GodotEngine.

I'm about to hike the 220-mile John Muir Trail! So no updates here until September...
Image is from my 2015 JMT hike. I'll be hauling my tripod and camera along for more like this...
Ship 29 makes it through re-entry, minus part of a flap, and does a bellyflop!
And...............no way! It looked like a flip and burn and soft splashdown?!
We've migrated our solar system simulator and planetarium to #GodotEngine 4!
For developers, we've restructured our code into a set of editor plugins!

My favorite photo from this morning's launch. Captured using techniques I've never used before, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I feel this photo perfectly illustrates the beauty and power of Starship.
Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on an exciting second integrated flight test of Starship!
Starship successfully lifted off under the power of all 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy Booster and made it through stage separation
We've decomposed our code into a set of editor plugins:
- the core solar system simulation
- a table importer/reader
- a procedural tree save/load system
These are pined now at: https://t.co/n9XZSwi1by.
We'll load to Assets library after next release...
#GodotEngine
I recoded our rings shader for our #GodotEngine 4 migration. We use 3 scatter textures for a strong phase-angle effect (compare image left vs right). For anti-aliasing, we sample many MIPs in one view.
If only our shadows worked... 😢
Our table importer is now a stand-alone editor plugin! (per suggestion by @_Difint_)
It can impute defaults, convert units, interpret & define enums, & much more...
I'd like feedback before submitting to the Asset Library!

Built in #GodotEngine 4.1.1.
While some members of the recovery team pack up the sample to deliver it to a temporary clean room here at UTTR, others are taking air and ground measurements to catalog any possible contaminants. https://t.co/ZK9XtEk91H
We're migrating from #GodotEngine 3 to 4!
Well, it's no small effort. Follow along at https://t.co/RBWzCZ5yBS.
Meanwhile, if you haven't already, do try our existing web-based planetarium: https://t.co/VX8mjue5Ri
