Three Henry Nowak protesters jailed for nearly nine years in total after violent disorder in Southampton after being fast tracked by Labour.

Andrew Summerhayes aged 38 from Hampshire Taylor Grundy aged 22 from Hampshire and Dillon Crawford aged 29 from Southampton admitted violent disorder at Southampton Crown Court.

The men took part in clashes with riot police on Belmont Road on June 2 following the murder of 18 year old Henry Nowak.

Summerhayes picked up and ran with a wheelie bin towards officers before dropping it and grabbing a traffic cone while Grundy helped push a large commercial bin and Crawford threw a bin a hub cap and part of a metal chair with significant force.

Judge William Mousley KC sentenced Summerhayes to 38 months Grundy to 30 months and Crawford to 36 months describing the violence as a hate crime born out of hatred of the police.

Summerhayes also pleaded guilty to possessing offensive weapons and the judge noted his grossly offensive interview answers claiming all police officers are paedophiles.

Critics online slammed the sentences saying:

"Funny how quickly they can jail these men yet nearly 2 years on from the fracas at Manchester airport and those involved are still free yet their crime was far worse"

And

"Teens get left off for raping girls but the government make sure these guys get time for things such as throwing a bin and a piece of wood"

And

"Fast tracked to scare the public. This government are utterly horrific and treacherous."

And

"This is why they are letting rapists out early and not locking up nonces, so they have spaces for political prisoners"
