Yes, we should support the women of Iran who are deprived of universal human rights - however, your brand of selective feminism is not feminism. It’s cynical posturing to cover for the fact that you (and others) have abandoned the women and girls of Palestine/Gaza during an ongoing genocide; their universal human rights have been trampled on for decades. It’s a facet of privileged-white feminism that you choose to highlight the plight of women of colour when it won’t cost you a thing by way of book deals, adulation or status. Until you educate yourself about intersectionality - and walk the talk - you’re in no position to preach about “revealing yourself”.
🟥 “Silence is the language of the oppressor.”
🔳Sudanese journalist Naji-Al Kurshabi breaks down mid-interview, saying he wishes he could write the stories instead of speak them because the pain of saying them aloud is unbearable.
🔳What’s happening in Sudan is not distant. It’s the same story as Gaza, as Syria the world watching while entire families are starved into silence and cities reduced to ash. Oppression has no borders. No colour. No excuse. If you care about justice in Gaza, you must care about Sudan too.
🔴Watch this man’s voice crack then ask yourself why those responsible are still met with handshakes, not handcuffs.

How I the name of humanity is this atrocity still happening when the voices of the many are silent?
Those voices in protest are becoming just echoes in this insane madness
ITV pulling zero punches in this incredible footage - "This landscape of destruction looks otherworldy, but it's not, it's this world - What is happening may come to define one of its darkest eras, one that casts a stain on humanity, which will endure for generations" #Gaza
This is Gaza City today.
There is a concept in law called ‘Res ipsa loquitur’ — the facts speak for themselves.
Israel is committing genocide, res ipsa loquitur.
Shot in the head and chest.
We investigated the killing of two-year-old Layan and six-year-old Mira.
We also found many more cases of children shot in the head and chest in Gaza, from the beginning of the war right up until last month.

For every politician and journalist who supported Israel's onslaught, or stayed silent:
This photograph should haunt you for the rest of your life.
You will never scrub the shame away. No future achievement, however great, will ever erase what you helped inflict on Gaza.
I will never vote Labour again. Not in my lifetime. I will never forget the skeletal faces of starving children—cut off from food just beyond a sealed border. A border kept closed by choice. I will never forget the silence bought by political donations—or blind loyalty that bind Labour MPs to a policy over 100 charities and NGOs have called unconscionable. And I promise you this: as long as I live, I will never let the world forget. This is Labours greatest political miscalculation in my lifetime. Worse even than Iraq. It will destroy the Labour Party at the next election. Opening the door for Farage. The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary belong in The Hague. This is a party complicit not only in genocide, but in the criminalization of peaceful protest—the cornerstone of democracy. Where words on signs are treated as more dangerous than bombs dropped on schools. On hospitals. On churches. All filled with children seeking shelter. This party are a true terror. For shame.
"BBC Verify presented the IDF with a list of places in which we documented demolitions and asked it to provide specific military justifications. It did not do so." https://t.co/ubGvnUMOe9
Powerful words from historian @DalrympleWill on Gaza, exposing how Britain’s colonial legacy played a key role in creating this injustice. The suffering in Gaza didn’t start yesterday, it was engineered long ago. #Gaza#Palestin🇵🇸
It seems with the collapse of any meaningful commitment to a rules-based international order - replaced instead by a raw-power dialogue shaped by might over right - every country in the global South watching Gaza burn and witnessing strikes on Iran is asking the same question: Are we next?
Some will now draw the darkest of conclusions. That to avoid the fate of Gaza or Iraq, or Libya - they too must consider acquiring biological or even nuclear capabilities.
Deterrence, not diplomacy, becomes the lesson.
We are not making the world safer. We are making it infinitely more dangerous. And for Britain to so uncritically align itself with the actions of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu - two hard-right authoritarians with little respect for democracy or the international norms that sustain it - is not just morally indefensible. It’s a dangerous travesty that risks dragging us into wars we did not start, and whose consequences we will all have to bear.
THREAD:
Over 450 Palestinians have been killed and more than 3500 injured while trying to access food at the U.S.- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) since May 27, when it began operating in Gaza. Survivors describe being shelled, sniped, robbed, and crushed.
In the last week, Drop Site News and +972 Magazine have published separate reports documenting harrowing firsthand accounts from those who made the journey to Israel’s so-called aid ‘death traps.’ Below are some of their testimonies: 🧵
We are paying for the worst crimes
imaginable. That evil doesn't stay in place it grows anc consumes us all. Each of us must stand up and confront what we continue to enable.
Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem expresses his disgust at the “silence of Europe” in the face of what is being grotesquely called “Palestinian Hunger Games”: the daily killing of people seeking humanitarian aid.
🔴 Aid victims: Since this morning, 26 Palestinians have been killed and some 300 injured while trying to access aid; bringing the total killed at aid sites to 250, with 2152 injured.
