Yep 😭marriage is deeper than chemistry and cute dates. That's the person who'll hold you together through grief, sickness, childbirth and every hard season life throws at you.
I love you Onyi 💜 and I love your idea. But childbirth, I think, is not the greatest sacrifice in marriage. Neither is it the biggest offer that can be brought to the table. The biggest sacrifice is "leaving one's father and mother and cleaving to one's spouse."
I say this because, if a woman is unable to give birth to a child, does that mean she can't offer anything? The biggest sacrifice is saying "yes, I will marry you," "yes, I'll do life with you."

As I stepped out of my uber last night a window from my sons’ room opened and my high schooler yelled outside “Mom! You’re back!”, then turned around and yelled “Mom’s home!” to his younger siblings amid shouts of “MOOOOOM!!!” and general merry making. What is this life? 😭😭❤️
My Dad went on a spiritual journey for me.
While I was still in school, there was this guy who was obsessed with me.
It wasn't normal, and I hadn't experienced it before.
He would send me endless cryptic messages, tell me he wanted to marry me, and, in the same vein, threaten me that I didn't have a choice.
For the first few weeks, I kept it to myself, but he sent me one particular message, and I knew right there that it was beyond me.
So I went into my Dad’s home office and told him everything that’s been happening and showed him all the messages.
That same week, this guy came to my parents' house, demanded to see me, and nobody opened the gate for him.
He slept outside all night long.
When we woke up in the morning, he was there.
That was the scariest thing I had experienced up to that point.
It was clear that he had a mental illness.
I can't quite recall all the measures my dad took to protect me, but I can not forget one thing he did.
He went on a 7-day fast.
He did the first 3 days dry and had only liquids until day 7.
He also had vigils every night without involving me or anyone else.
Even though I had the problem, I had full meals during that period.
After those 7 days, I did not hear from this guy again.
Not one message, not an appearance, nothing.
My Dad is my superhero.
He would always say, a time will come in your life when your human capabilities and knowledge will fail you.
Don't forget to keep God central in your life.
That was one of the miracles I experienced in my life, and I have my Dad to thank for it.
Nobody slept on office floors/ furniture overnight 3/4 days a week to help me take the exam, I did.
Nobody used all their annual leaves for 4 years to prepare for my exam, I did.
Nobody lost most of their weekends and hardly had anytime for socials so I can take the exam. I did.
Nobody, helped me to show up to write the exam after loosing my Grandma, few days prior to the exam. I did.
Nobody, sacrificed their savings for me to pay exams in Foreign currency and even had to travel to Ghana to write exams for 3 years, incurring travel and exam costs. I did.

did you know:
you can start anytime.
brush your teeth in the middle of the day.
wash the dishes at 2am.
do things outside the times “assigned” by society.
use that free will.
When God restores, He doesn’t just give back what was lost. He multiplies. He beautifies. He makes the testimony so glorious that you’ll hardly recognize it was once a place of pain. Don’t fear what’s behind you, look forward to the God who restores.
I went all out, candles, petals, flowers, not every suprise comes in a ring box. Sometimes it’s cold and fizzy in a 60cl bottle.
More Coke, More Sip, Same great taste at no extra cost.
