A full fledged Vedic college was functioning at Ennayiram in Tamil Nadu. It was set up and patronised by Rajendra Chola. Here are some salient features of the Vedic college.
Tirupparankundram, which our Prime Minister @narendramodi ji is visiting today, is a temple of immense historical and architectural significance. Revered as the first of the six abodes (Aarupadai Veedu) of Lord Murugan, it is far more than a single-sect shrine — it is a multidimensional sacred complex reflecting multiple sampradayas within the Sanatana tradition.
Though Tirupparankundram finds mention in Sangam literature, the present rock-cut temple complex was excavated during the reign of the Pandya king Parantaka Nedunjadayan in the 8th century CE. It stands as one of the finest examples of Pandya rock-cut architecture. 🧵

Narakasuran documented in Chola copper plates as early as 10th century CE. Deepavali mentioned in inscriptions in Srirangam, Kanchipuram, Tirupati - three most important Vaishnava sthalam. @tskrishnan is relentless in exposing the fraudulent fake scholarship prevailing in TN.
The main deity in this temple is Rama and he is in "vivaha" kolam or Kalyana-rama, as Sita is to Rama's right, as opposed to the more common arrangement where she appears to his left.
The temple is likely the oldest surviving, and continuously in worship dedicated to Rama.

Wishing you and your family, a very happy #Diwali2025#Deepavali2025
The below image is the copper plate inscription belonging to Sithaimoor Shri Ponvaithanathar Shiva temple in Thiruvarur dt. The inscription belonging to 1753 CE highlights how Deepavali was celebrated as a social festival with contributions from all communities, abhishekam to Ponvaithanathar (Mahadeva) and planting of iluppai and coconut trees.
Similarly, a 16th CE Tamizh inscription at Tirupati Shri Venkateshwara temple highlights the offering of 'Adhirasam' on Deepavali day.
Thirumangai azhwar Pasuram (Periya thirumozhi 3.9.8) and Periyazhwar Pasuram (Periyazhwar thirumozhi 4.3.3) mentioning Narakasuravadam shows that Deepawali is a Tamil Festival and celebrated for Perumal. @tskrishnan thank u for highlighting sir. Happy Deepavali guys 🪔🪔🪔
#Onam is a HINDU festival. The name itself suggests its origins from the HINDU panchanga. Numerous references in the ancient literature, and inscriptions in the last 1000+ years point to the fact that #Onam is a HINDU festival. If people from other denominations celebrate, fine. We are happy they too are celebrating a HINDU festival. Period.
And to drink payasam, and eat unni appam on a banana leaf, you don’t need to choose a ‘Dwadashi’ coinciding with ‘Thiruvona Nakshatra’ in the ‘Aavani/Chingam’ month! 😂
Gokulashtami was celebrated since ancient times in Tamilakam. There are inscriptions of Cholas, like the one at Thirumukkoodal, which speaks about detailed offerings during Jayanthashtami.
Inscriptions at Kanchipuram temple speaks about ‘Uriyadi’ festival during Sri Jayanthi.
This is yet another example that they have no idea about true Tamil history !
Today is the birth anniversary of Salem Vijayaragavachariar, the Lion of South India. He was the first man from South India to head the Congress and the Hindu Mahasabha—a lawyer, statesman, and, more than anything, a great (forgotten) son of Bharatamata.

Dravida Model postulates that if a Christian surgeon prays before surgery, it is faith and if a Hindu surgeon does the same it is anti-science!
During my time as student and resident physician at Christian Medical College, Vellore, I had seen so many Christian surgeons praying before operating on their patients.
I have also seen pastors praying for patients before they went for surgery and during their recovery in the ICU.
If Christian doctors pray to their God, it is faith and if Hindu doctors pray to their Gods, it is a superstition and anti-science.
If Dhanvantri Stotra is ruining medical practice, what do Amen and Hallelujah achieve?
This kind of hypocrisy germinates from the Dravidian culture where rationalism (pagutharivu) is all about Hinduism bashing and upholding other religions especially the ones from the west.
I am surprised after years of hard, complex training, decades of experience, 100s of medical conferences, some Dravidian stock doctors have not come across prayer practice in medical institutions like Christian Medical College, St.John's Medical College etc.
Please try something better next time! @Jasonphilip8
The handle has no clue of the scientific proofs of Saraswathi civilisation and trying to create the non existing division as usual.
The Ghaggar-Hakra river system, visible in satellite imagery, follows a course described in the Rigveda for the Saraswati. Satellite data show paleochannels consistent with a mighty river once flowing from the Himalayas to the Rann of Kutch.
Studies by ISRO and Indian geologists (e.g., Dr. Rajesh Purohit, Dr. K.S. Valdiya) mapped the old Saraswati course using radar and satellite imagery. These confirmed a large river basin once existed, corroborating ancient textual claims.
Over 2,000 Indus Civilisation sites have been found along the Ghaggar-Hakra region — far more than along the Indus itself. Key sites such as Rakhigarhi, Banawali, Kalibangan, Bhirrana, Kunal, Baror, Lothal are all in Saraswathi basin.
Geologists have confirmed that this river once carried glacial waters before drying up around 1900 BCE, likely due to tectonic shifts and monsoonal changes.
So it is just laughable to call out Saraswathi as ‘mythical river’
