If Iran had just bombed Israel's scientists and military leaders in their homes, murdering their families and neighbours in the process, our media would not be calling it a "pre-emptive strike", they would be calling it terrorism
BREAKING: The Israelis are now openly admitting that all the "Trump negotiations to get a deal with Iran", "Trump's turn on Netanyahu", "Trump told Israel to not attack Iran" was deliberate false propaganda to lull Iran into a false sense of security, exactly as I said it was. This is a US-Israeli war on Iran

ICE recently conducted a raid of farm workers, seemingly focused on pro-union worker leaders.
On Friday in New York the federal agents stopped a bus and, armed with a list, appeared to single out those who have been doing union organizing for years.

This is a must-watch to understand how Israel was built, the people that come from all over the world to take land and what is currently happening due to its expansionist mentality.

Welfare cuts will mean another quarter million will fall into relative poverty, including another 50,000 children. Nobody remembers stats, but we remember stories. How about the Labour cabinet watch I Daniel Blake again, shamefully more relevant now that it was under the Tories.

Sickening. Bonuses for CEOs, while workers won’t even get severance. We need to elect representatives that will protect workers and communities!

No Other Land depicts the horrifying violence Palestinians in the West Bank endure under apartheid.
Yesterday, its co-director Hamdan Ballal was beaten in his home by settlers before being detained by Israeli forces.
People applauded Hamdan. Now they are silent. Free Hamdan.
Sadly, the US Academy, which awarded us an Oscar three weeks ago, declined to publicly support Hamdan Ballal while he was beaten and tortured by Israeli soldiers and settlers.
The European Academy voiced support, as did countless other award groups and festivals. Several US Academy members—especially in the documentary branch—pushed for a statement, but it was ultimately refused. We were told that because other Palestinians were beaten up in the settler attack, it could be considered unrelated to the film, so they felt no need to respond.
In other words, while Hamdan was clearly targeted for making No Other Land (he recalled soldiers joking about the Oscar as they tortured him), he was also targeted for being Palestinian—like countless others every day who are disregarded. This, it seems, gave the Academy an excuse to remain silent when a filmmaker they honored, living under Israeli occupation, needed them the most.
It’s not too late to change this stance. Even now, issuing a statement condemning the attack on Hamdan and the Masafer Yatta community would send a meaningful message and serve as a deterrent for the future.

Without its own worker-centred explanation about the state of the world, the NDP struggled to convey a compelling vision about what would fix it. Instead, its demands felt like a laundry list of random measures that offered only superficial relief.
