We need to have a conversation on the Right about how full of shit Russia is.

There are at least 10 Americans that our own government has confirmed are being held under harsh conditions against their will in Russian captivity.

This week, Russia finally released ailing former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman. The man who came home was a shadow of himself: emaciated, frail, clearly starved and denied proper medical care the entire time he was locked up by Russia for 4 YEARS!

Reports said he even asked President Trump to make sure a cheeseburger was waiting for him when he got on the plane to return to the US because he was starving.

That’s not “detention.” That’s deliberate mistreatment and torture of an American citizen by Russia under Vladimir Putin.

What kind of “ally” does that? What kind of country jails American citizens, starves them, and withholds basic healthcare, and then expects us to smile and pretend like everything’s fine?

Some folks who claim to be on the right, including people like Candace Owens @RealCandaceO and Tucker Carlson @TuckerCarlson, have spent a lot of time telling their audiences that Russia is somehow this based, Christian, traditional, high-functioning society with great healthcare and values that we as Americans should admire.

In May of this year, Candace literally traveled to sanctioned Russia where she spoke at a state-sponsored conference, and upon her return, she was spewing propaganda for Russia, specifically with regards to how amazing she thinks their healthcare system is.

That story doesn’t survive contact with reality. It’s a lie. Just look at the physical condition of U.S. Marine Robert Gilman.

If you’ve followed my reporting from Ukraine and if you watched my interview below, you’ve heard the firsthand accounts from Ukrainian POWs who came out of Russian captivity. They describe systematic beatings, starvation, and daily torture. Those aren’t liberal talking points. Those are the words of men who lived it.

The same system that treated them that way is the one that held Robert Gilman and still holds many other Americans in captivity in Russia today.

Russian propaganda is working overtime, and too many people on the right have swallowed it up because it feels good to stick it to the establishment. But, the facts matter.

A regime that locks up our citizens, starves them, and denies them medical care is not our friend, not our partner, and sure as hell is not our ally. Russia is not America’s ally. Russia is our enemy under the leadership of Vladimir Putin.

The defense never says he didn’t do it nor that the evidence of it being his gun, his bullets, his texts, the discord or any other evidence wasn’t true. They never said the timeline wasn’t true either.

They only said that the situation that the prosecution put out shouldn’t warrant the death penalty, the Tyler didn’t see the kids, that he gave Twiggs good advice and that Charlie’s views weren’t why Tyler shot him.

They never in the filing once said Tyler didn’t shoot Charlie. I was as surprised as you are they didn’t try to at least give some doubt to he did it.

They should be watching your episodes Candace baby. Then they’d know that Israel, the US, France, AI Centers, the war in Iran, Epstein, gun running, trafficking, Pastors, Erika and bees did it. You should write them and tell the defense your theories.

I know everyone's already seen many, many posts on the defense position that dropped. I want to focus on a couple items.

- The defense has never given an alibi to where Tyler was. I have never heard one person say I was with Tyler in those 33 hours so it couldn't have been him. Or here is metadata from his phone showing he was in another location. Or here is surveillance footage showing him in a different place. Not once has the defense actually given a different version of what Tyler was doing during the time the Prosecution has laid out that he shot Charlie.

- The defense in this record spent most of the response on why it shouldn't be a death penalty case. That there were no aggravating factors for it to be one.

- The defense acknowledges the shot from the roof top, the gun, the bullets and the text exchanges. Not once did they say that Tyler wasn't the one that shot him, or that it wasn't his gun, or it wasn't his texts. Not one time did the say the evidence wasn't true.

- The defense in part to say there were not aggravating factors said Tyler couldn't have known he could have hurt someone if he missed Charlie. That he couldn't have known someone might be behind the tent. And there was a gap between Charlie and anyone near him. I have to call BS on that one. You have 3000 people there anything could have happened.

- The defense says the charge of committing it in front of children under 14 should be thrown out because Tyler couldn't have known children under 14 could be there. He never saw a kid while walking around and that he couldn't have seen one from the roof top. Not that Tyler wasn't there but he didn't see any kids. That's insane.

- That they shouldn't be charging Tyler with the Tampering with witness charge because Tyler was giving Twiggs good advice. Not that Tyler didn't have that conversation, but that Tyler was just giving good advice.

- The defense stated Twiggs is a trans and that Tyler and him were in love. But that didn't mean Tyler killed Charlie because of Charlies views so therefore Tyler didn't target Charlie over Charlies views and the Victim targeting enhancement should be thrown out.

Again, nowhere in these documents do they say Tyler didn't do it. Tyler was at a picnic in the park with his grandmother. They rely only on that it shouldn't be a death penalty case, that the charge for in the presence of minors be thrown out, the charge of witness tampering be thrown out, etc.

I may be wrong, but I think we will see a plea deal if the judge says we are going to trial and the prosecution will give him one.

We're watching an enormous misread of the results from Wisconsin. The dumb take is that the DSA has reached its ceiling, and the establishment is fighting back. That's totally wrong. The normie Dems are simply negotiating the terms of their surrender.

Those terms are obvious: the Democratic Party will ingest and mirror the key precepts of the DSA, and they won't go whole hog against DSA candidates who don't totally say the quiet part out loud. This is why Slotkin didn't endorse Stevens against El-Sayed in Michigan. It's why Schumer and Jeffries didn't endorse Cuomo against Mamdani in NYC.

In return, the DSA's most important figures will refrain from endorsing the very worst candidates. This is why Bernie and AOC didn't endorse Hong. If they had, she would have won.

The goal of the pact is obvious: candidates who are DSA in all but name, who receive unified Democratic support after the primaries, and who still have a shot at winning a general election. So don't be fooled: the DSA is driving the car, choosing the direction. The normie Dems are just negotiating over the speed.
