Prepare your mind and body for storms that may or may not hit.
Until 2014 perfectly healthy, then diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, an aggressive sarcoma cancer. It took me five years just to learn how to pronounce it.
2014: 400 hours of chemotherapy 96 hours at a time.
To save my leg, one of the most incredible Drs and human beings Dr Doug Letson removed my knee, tibia, fibula, cut my calf in, sewed it to the steel knee and inserted a titanium rod. Lost two of the three arteries and most of my veins. I knew the leg would not last so I started preparing for that day.
We made it almost 6 years without the sarcoma returning.
2020 amputated my leg above the knee.
2021 cut out a piece of my lung.
2022 radiated tumors around my heart
2022 Radiated tumors in my amputated leg and pelvis.
2022 3 rounds of the red devil chemotherapy
2023 currently radiating a sarcoma tumor from the top of my skull to my synovial jawbone and C4 vertebrae.
2023 over a short period almost 5 new tumors a week.
2023 brain tumor, almost every vertebrae in my spine has tumors, bones riddled with tumors, liver, kidney, pancreas
2023 over came 2 bouts of pneumonia, fluid around my heart, sepsis and blood pressure dropping of 60/40
But my mind and body was prepared from:
Movement
Hydration
Living in gratitude
Travel
Family
Mushrooms, spices, herbs, escargot,
Team that believes in each other.
Prayers
Friends
Meat
Hope
Faith
These have kept me alive for 9+ years battling sarcoma.
Prepare your mind and body for storms that may or may not hit.
Every step is a finish line.
Two thoughts from Edgar Degas
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
“Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.”
Today, some French minister has said that they declared an economic war on Russia. Watch your tongue, gentlemen! And don’t forget that in human history, economic wars quite often turned into real ones
