Anyway, does anyone have any resources/advice for systems/computational biology researchers who don't want to disappear into the generic pool of data scientists in the workforce? Asking for a friend. #AcademicChatter
Simultaneously, very sad for people like myself who just love doing science for science's sake, aren't particularly compelled to work within a corporate structure, and love the freedom and collaborative nature of academic science. Oh well
Another absolutely comical call for people in the academic system. Expecting people to put themselves through all of this (PhD+postdoc) which is already hard enough, with rapidly decreasing probability of any kind of stability in terms of career, is hilarious to me (cont.)
It's actually happening 🥳
I'm now recruiting PhD students to join our awesome team @ErasmusMC in beautiful Rotterdam! Are you interested in myeloproliferative neoplasms, inflammation and organ crosstalk?🩸 Let's chat! Get in touch via DM/email & please retweet!

Missed the big 1-0-0-0 yesterday because the app crashed (typical) but this number is just as satisfying, who doesn't love a palindrome. (Still not fluent in any language but have learned some fun facts along the way)
It's really so hard to film with your left hand and paint with your right. But I thought I'd share the satisfaction of practicing a new useless skill 🖌️♠️
