@DeadFlowersbyth@ArmchairIllini Yes, but for me personally, a couple of things would come into play:
1. I would never sign an agreement, ask for more, be given more, and then ask for more again and keep doing that.
2. I would never actively tell people that my employer was the reason I left when it was about $$
@WritingIlliniFS Perhaps you are unaware of Illini basketball history. Technically, these are four straight years, but the point remains.
1987 -1990 -- Ken Norman, Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle, Kendall Gill
2002-2005 -- Frank Williams, Brian Cook, Luther Head and Deron Williams.
Was a crime committed? Yes. He was underage. He had friends in other states bet for him when he couldn't in his own state. There is plenty more to the story than what you are mentioning.
@jq6008 And??? Did ya not think a kid would one day? Was a crime committed? Does the @NCAA have any jurisdiction of anything anymore? How many times donโt have to regurgitate the same theme and ya not get it?
And some of those were what is considered tampering. Morez had worked a deal, then reworked a deal with Illinois but Dusty kept going at him to get him to transfer by upping the amount.
There are few coaches in the B1G that are fans of him because of the tampering issue.
@TheHoopHerald Ok letโs not act like these guys were diamonds in the rough. Everyone who watches basketball knew Michigan got some MF dudes when each of these guys committed. Thereโs a reason they were a preseason favorite to be in this game.
@TheHoopHerald Dishonest tweet. Morez was a frosh on a team with great players and also had to sit out several games due to a wrist injury.
Lendenborg was the hottest commodity on the market when he decided not to enter the NBA draft.
Mara was a 7'4" phenom who got better in the offseason
@glenn_kinley The step back three where Keaton put the Iowa player on skis should have been in there. Nonetheless, it was another shining moment for that montage.
@iamibtaihaj08@GoodmanHoops Tyler Underwood would be WORLDS better than Ford and would coach circles around him. But, thank you for letting us keep Tyler!
