@michaelpwalrath@davidsenra@bendingspoons Genuinely curious. You have to place the valuation in context with the broader public market, no? Is part of your argument really that the public market as a whole is overvalued? If / when the markets turn down, you will have your “I told you so moment…”
@RobertFreundLaw It’s become far too easy to lob over a baseless claim with a prop plaintiff just to settle for $15-$25k. It used to be a California issue… it’s now spilling over to other jurisdictions (NY in this instance). I really hope there’s legislation in the future to close this loophole.
@RGIII I don’t think outright excluding them from contention is what most are clamoring for. But giving G5 the chance to leapfrog higher ranked teams is absurd. If they are legit top 12, they deserve a spot. They’ll likely need to schedule tougher non conf games to qualify.
@365Aggie Watch the film brother. We were smart enough as UT fans to watch tape and be honest about Arch. You cannot sustain drives against solid competition with so many passes off target and horrible turnovers.
@BillyM_91 Solution is easy: if a G5 is legit top 12, they get in. It’s not that complicated. Might require G5 to seek out tougher non-conference games. That’s good for football.
@sirpeebs@AmandaMAtwell Relax little bro. It’s not that serious. Also, no school with male cheerleaders in bedazzled overalls should be throwing around the word “embarrassing”.
@aryehMaxx 1H 2025 we were up 80% on AMZ YoY. However, total net sales during Prime Day ‘25 were down 20% YoY despite 2 extra days. Definitely a head-scratcher. More context: we are 3P FBA and do well over 7 figures per mo. on AMZ.
@SpencerHakimian It’s a 4 day event. If you’re down 10-15% each day but you double the number of days, you’d be up significantly YoY. Your tweets are a bit misleading.
@TaylorHoliday@9operators We had a very similar experience. We cut Amazon ad spend by 50%+ and saw no impact. And the theory cuts both ways: if you believe your customers are searching with a very high intent to purchase, so are customers of your competition, making competitive search wildly unprofitable
@SchockZach Yeah, feeling / seeing the same thing on our DTC business. Amazon fees are a total black box. Hoping the introduction of AWD will alleviate some of inbound / logistics fees that are so painful for FBA.
@andrewrsorkin I don’t understand why you’re so hell bent on blaming the depositors, most of whom were required to keep 100% of their deposits at the bank as a condition of loan facilities. It’s clear that SVB Risk Management and Regulators failed in a dramatic way, not depositors.
@andrewrsorkin This move stabilized far more industries than just Tech. I.E., this shined a bright light on how intertwined our banking industry really is. It’s foolish, in hindsight, to think a Top 20 bank in the US would be contained to one industry and one small geographic region (NorCal).
@drewfallon12 LTV:CAC absolutely matters to sophisticated buyers of predominantly DTC brands. It’s too fundamental. It’s also fundamental for a CFO to understand this equation when determining the appropriate CAC. Can’t imagine a universe where this wouldn’t be relevant.
