Also a major credit to @patrickjwitt, @HarryYJung, Nick Elliot, and the entire White House team for keeping the momentum moving in the right direction. Their steady leadership and continued focus have been critical.
There’s more wok to be done, but the progress so far has been meaningful and encouraging.
.@patrickjwitt is doing an amazing job brokering a compromise between the banks and crypto industry. No one is working harder to get market structure legislation across the finish line. Btw, crypto has made major concessions on stablecoin yield; time for banks to reciprocate.
For the record, @Coinbase and @brian_armstrong have been at the table for months and we have committed to multiple potential compromises. Our north star has been protecting the GENIUS Act and the interest of everyday Americans. We’re grateful for how hard @patrickjwitt is working to resolve this, and look forward to getting @POTUS’s crypto agenda across the line.
When the banks “come to the table” in actual deed, rather than just physically, someone lmk.
Crypto meanwhile is there and offering solutions.
Getting this legislation done is paramount for American technological leadership, & none have been working harder than @patrickjwitt.
Patrick Witt has been a driving force.
To say Crypto, Coinbase or the White House have been anything but patient and accommodating of crocodile tear bank arguments is bad faith.
🚨NEW: Lots of crypto industry folks jumping to the defense of @patrickjwitt and the White House following comments from an unnamed source claimed to be directly involved in the stablecoin yield talks.
I shared the post and the Crypto Twitter reaction with a banking-side source who has direct knowledge of the negotiations. They said the bank trade representatives (from @ABABankers, @ICBA and @bankpolicy) who attended last week’s White House meeting were perplexed by the characterization, do not share the unnamed source’s views and have already relayed that to the White House.
Additionally, they’re unsure why the individual characterized the situation in such “nihilistic” terms, noting that both sides are still giving input on text and aren’t necessarily living or dying by the March 1st deadline.
For the record, @patrickjwitt and the White House team have been absolutely critical leaders in managing negotiations for this insanely complex bill, both from a policy and political perspective. Without Patrick, there is likely no table for all of the parties to sit at.
This characterization is simply wrong.
@patrickjwitt and The White House have been leading these conversations in good faith, working diligently to move policy forward in a thoughtful and responsible way.
These are complex negotiations involving multiple stakeholders, and bridging meaningful policy differences takes sustained engagement. We will continue working constructively with the banking sector and other partners to narrow gaps and deliver a framework that gets this right and provides lasting certainty for the market.
This is ridiculous. @patrickjwitt and the White House have been leading, undergoing herculean efforts, and moving things forward with haste, substance, and in good faith. Any suggestions to the contrary are completely inaccurate. The digital asset industry remains at the table, negotiating in good faith and in a constructive manner.
We found a way to expand passenger rail across America without laying a single track.
Dreamstar Lines uses underutilized freight capacity to run passenger trains across thousands of miles of existing rail infrastructure
We’ve secured a memorandum of understanding with Union Pacific to operate on the LA -> SF corridor one of the highest-demand rail routes in the country, with plans for this route to launch service on the eve of the 2028 Olympics.
This is just the beginning. We plan to expand these partnerships across the most important corridors in America. In just a decade, Americans will have a well deserved alternative to flying or driving in the medium distance. Once and for all we will Make Trains Great Again.
Grateful for the endorsement of Texas Representative @brentmoney. Brent is a sixth-generation Texan and a proven conservative fighter, whose district encompasses part of #TX32. We're proud to have his support in this race.
Salute to the brave men and women of our armed forces who flawlessly executed a dangerous and complex mission and finally brought Maduro to justice. The US military is truly without peer. 🇺🇸
As the Venezuelan people prepare to chart a new direction for their country—one that turns away from the poverty of collectivism and embraces the abundance that rugged individualism enables—their economic reconstruction effort should strongly consider adopting USD and USD-backed stablecoins as legal tender in the country.
The Chavez/Maduro regime impoverished its people through corruption and currency mismanagement, leading to hyperinflation of the bolívar and a flourishing black market for dollars. Some estimates claim upwards of 50% of transactions in the country already take place in USD.
Venezuela is already a de facto dollarized state. Making it de jure will attract foreign investment and bring much-needed price stability to the Venezuelan economy as it re-enters the global market.
Friends, I want to let you all know that I have made the hard decision to exit the race for the open congressional seat here in the 1st District of Florida.
I entered this race because I felt called to serve the great people of northwest Florida, and because I truly believe that Congress must enact President Trump’s America First agenda to get our country back on track. The president has made clear that he believes Jimmy Patronis is the right man to help get his agenda passed in Washington, and I am joining President Trump in endorsing Jimmy Patronis for this seat.
Though I am disappointed to be stepping out of the race today, I am not standing down. I will continue to speak up for the veterans in this community and for the families who call this great place home.
I am honored to accept Mr. Patronis' invitation to serve as his Advisor for Military and Veterans Affairs, and in this position I will make certain that he understands the issues affecting veterans and military families in the 1st District.
I want to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported my campaign and my family with their time, prayers, advice, and personal resources these past few weeks.
While I am ending this campaign today, my fight for what I believe in is only beginning, and I promise to continue to serve the great people of northwest Florida in whatever way I can. Please stay tuned, and let’s stay in the fight together.
In the meantime, I wish all of you and your families a very merry Christmas and a joyful new year.

As a resident of Florida’s 1st Congressional District, I am deeply appreciative of @RepMattGaetz’s steadfast support for President @realDonaldTrump’s America First Agenda. Our community deserves the same unwavering commitment from its next representative. #AmericaFirst
