“Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.”
Winston S. Churchill, May 13, 1940
Words still relevant today - only it's #NaziRussia this time, not #NaziGermany.
#DenazifyRussia
The Foreign Minister Ribbentrop did not personally kill people in Buchenwald or Auschwitz.
Foreign Minister Lavrov did not personally kill people in Mariupol or Bucha.
Nevertheless, Ribbentrop was tried, convicted, and hanged.
Lavrov's time has yet to come.
📉 Ukrainian strikes on Crimea have plunged Putin's approval rating to its lowest since 2022, - NYT.
Bookings for July and August have fallen by more than 30%, and in Sevastopol by 43%.
NYT notes that, amid Kremlin's inability to defend Crimea, the dictator's approval rating, according to a poll by the FOM foundation has fallen to its lowest level since the start of the full-scale war in 2022.
1,583 days into the Kremlin’s ‘three-day special military operation’, its propagandists are finally beginning to suspect that this brutal war of choice might not be going quite as planned.
Now that russia has effectively turned into one giant traffic jam of cars with empty fuel tanks, it’s worth remembering the propaganda videos it was producing back in 2022.
Back then, russians – who are still being granted visas by Europe – mocked Europeans and laughed at the suffering of Ukrainians, predicting a Stone Age for Ukraine and horse-drawn transport for Europe.
Today, social media is full of videos of russians sitting in kilometer-long queues, recording themselves and saying they have no idea why this is happening.
Bullies getting exactly what they wished upon others – what a pathetic sight.
Hey worms. Hang in there. You still have many surprises ahead. This is only the beginning. Everything you wished on others will come back to you in full.
Thanks to the Ukrainian OSINT team ExileNova for bringing this video back into the spotlight https://t.co/OblRMKGPLE
Kremlin messaging would have us believe that the same Ukrainian settlements have been ‘captured’ by Russian forces more than once.
Reality has a habit of being less accommodating.
Control of territory is determined on the battlefield, not in press releases.
This is a good summary of the Russian fuel situation.
The regime or its military won't collapse over this, but the economic cost and disruptions can very quickly get quite serious.
"Regarding Ukraine, the United States approved, for the first time, a text stating that it is no longer a neutral mediator, but rather supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity, provides military assistance, helps with the energy sector, and imposes sanctions on Russia." - French President Emmanuel Macron.
The United States provided Ukraine with intelligence for strikes on targets deep inside Russia, including the Moscow refinery, the Financial Times reported. Trump was extremely impressed by the attacks during the G7 summit and told Zelensky to act bolder, while US officials now believe Russia cannot achieve its goals militarily, shifting from earlier assessments, amid growing Russian frustration with American mediation efforts.
Over the past 18 days, eleven bridges in Crimea have been attacked by Ukrainian drones – see the infographic by "US".
A total of 21 attacks have been carried out against the adversary's road and rail links on the temporarily occupied peninsula. These systematic attacks are significantly hampering the logistics of the Russian occupying forces.
Ukraine has received 10 ALTO NG training aircraft to accelerate pilot preparation right here inside the country. 5 were provided by the Czech Government within the Air Force Capability Coalition, and another 5 were funded by the Dárek pro Putina foundation.
These light aircraft significantly lower the cost of flight hours, increase our training autonomy, and align our programs with NATO standards. They give our pilots the perfect foundation to transition seamlessly to advanced Western jets. Huge thanks to Czechia for strengthening our skies!
The West keeps looking for cracks in Putin's regime, such as elite splits and falling ratings. The real erosion is duller, as I argue in my piece for @FT In 72 hours, parliament let the finance ministry borrow past the debt ceiling — no Duma needed. The state is quietly abandoning its own procedures 1/

BROWDER: Putin doesn't have any Christian values or any values at all. Putin is a sociopath, a psychopathic dictator.
All he cares about is his personal survival, his wealth, and few people around him.
Right now, he's really angry that his troops have not made any progress. He's also really angry at the level of economic damage that Ukraine has caused him.
Why did he bomb a sacred Ukrainian monument? For the same reason he's killing civilians and doing all those other things.
He's got to do something to retaliate. He's got to show that he's more brutal and more awful than anyone could imagine.
So he does something very noticeable, kind of like Taliban tearing down the old Buddhist structures in Afghanistan back in the day.
This is the same type of thing, just to show how unbelievably psychopathic and brutal he is.
1/ Russian commanders are being accused of failing to ensure that their soldiers do not wear neo-Nazi and far-right insignia. The practice is said to be widespread. However, a crackdown is apparently underway, with offenders being sent to die in assault units. ⬇️
BREAKING: German intelligence agencies have raised internal threat levels amid a surge in Russian espionage. Authorities cite surveillance of intelligence personnel, suspicious vehicles, security probing attempts, and repeated incidents at and around BND facilities in Berlin
The Kremlin’s information strategy increasingly relies on convincing audiences that nothing is trustworthy.
Democratic resilience begins with refusing to accept that premise.
We've heard many times before that Ukraine might be winning its war. But there's some important changes going on right now that have really turned the heat up for Putin
Today, the European External Action Service and Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation (@CforCD) are teaming up to share a new report that takes a closer look at how Russian Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) tries to target Ukraine’s journey towards joining the European Union.
