Hi! I'm JADurano from the humble tropical island of Cebu, PH 🇵🇭 I am still in the exploration phase of my style but I'm currently drawn to illustrate portraits of icons I look up to and translate their music that I have immersed myself to in a visual vector format. #PortfolioDay
I ran my agency for almost a decade, and at peak reached near 30 people.
The brand we're building now went from 5 people to 100+ in a year and a half.
When I just started my agency (a newb in online business), everything ran through me:
- Writing content
- Appt setting
- Sales calls
- Client comms
- Ad strategy
- Creative strategy
- QA - Reviewed every single ad before launch
I did a lot of things myself (I was a part of almost every process), so I had no time for anything else, really.
I was glued to my MacBook...
I was sleep deprived.
I barely went out of the house.
I was stuck.
For a time, I thought that was what running a business was.
I was doing things wrong the entire time.
The agency could only move as fast as I could think, review, and approve.
That doesn't work with 100+ people. It can't.
I can't be in the trenches like that anymore.
I've had to learn how to lead people, how to properly forecast and set targets, how to let other people make the calls without me, etc.
If everything in your business still runs through you, you're the one who has to grow.
Initially started as an urban exploration of Cebu’s rich heritage became an experiment into the future for the landmarks that shaped our city.

Clinical branding doesn't have to feel cold.
Most local skin clinics try too hard to look "premium" and end up looking the same. For CSI, we stripped it back.
Trust is the new luxury.
We just published the full identity system for Cebu Skin Institute.

In my 20s, I spent my time creating games for the closed domestic Japan market, focusing on platforms like MSX, PC, and the PC Engine due to organizational circumstances. But 30 years ago, with the release of the PlayStation, I was fortunate to work on this subcultural platform aimed for the global market. Around that time, I transitioned to not only development but also roles in management and producing, relocating myself to Tokyo— this shift significantly expanded my world.
