I've supported strikes for teachers, nurses and paramedics, and I will continue to, but the current postal strike is a tone deaf tantrum and it's hurting small businesses.

@foofoolove @GertBlain They've completely wiped out any support they had from me with this strike. There are ways to go on strike that don't turn the public away from the cause but this isnt it. They're hurting small businesses and trying to use the cost of living crisis at the same time to justify it

@speakthetruthpp Yeah I'm all for workers asking for raises ect, but they haven't read the room at all with this one.
They've hurt small businesses, and further propped up amazon with this tantrum. I'm currently in regional Newfoundland and this strike made me go from supporting them to not.

@Thewealthywrist @stevenmackinnon Yeah that works if theres competition. I've lived places where my closest neighbour is a 40 minute drive with no alternatives. If you live somewhere like this, where competition isnt only not viable but just nonexistent, then what?

@Wh1tePill @AkkadSecretary I saw a lady on drugs who had brought in some plants (roots and all) that she pulled from the ground just outside that started trying to "feed" by dipping in peoples drinks. Dont think she realised the drinks had lids on them. Didnt take long for most of the place to empty

@Thewealthywrist @SkinnerNaomi @stevenmackinnon Sounds like you dont know what youre talking about here. Alternative options aren't realistic when the only alternate is getting the neighbours kid to be a courier. Its fine in urban areas but the further out, the more limited it gets.

I’ve seen cases where artists have shown that they don’t approve of ai art only for their body of work to get included later on as a retaliation 2/2

@FailedHeatsink @OrdinaryGamers If someone takes an artists work without consent and uses it as the cover for pamphlets that justify having sex with animals and minors, that are handed out for free, even though they didn’t make any profit the artist should have the right over how their work is used. 1/2

Weird that most of the people I’ve heard start making this remark have been pretty anti Jesus at all and all of a sudden they start regurgitating stuff they saw online and become scholars on the topic

I paid for the first season, this season is hardly watchable. I check in to see if it’s gotten better… it hasn’t yet. Only good thing is the set

Watching Jon sleep on the floor the first week was great, watching them try and figure out what they got themselves into was great. Watching the whole Simmons thing pan out was great. A lot of gold happened from day 1

@House12Damien @OrdinaryGamers My understanding is that the right don’t like him because he’s on the left, the left don’t like him because he isn’t left enough and the rest of Canada doesn’t like him because he keeps making out of touch moves.
He’s stayed this long because the alternatives have seemed bad too
