Speaking at @UN: India's religious minorities face an existential crisis under Modi's regime, which is guided by a Hindu nationalist ideology that targets Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, and others.
For 20 years, I’ve been on the frontline. I’ve put my neck so much on the line that I’ve been targeted by India’s RAW. I’ve been on the streets of America protesting. Very few seem to appreciate that aside from what they can use me for. Yet I continue, because I believe in it.
Democratic voters are upset today because we failed to win. What they don't realize is that the Democratic consultant class didn't fail, they made 15% on a billion dollars. That's why they emphasize raising more money from donors than actually delivering for the voters.
Sikh Americans play a vital role in shaping our nation through their resilience and leadership.

.@mehdirhasan cries crocodile tears for Gaza, then attacks @drjillstein & me on behalf of Harris & Democrats, who are funding the genocide.
Harris & Trump are both genocidal candidates.
If Mehdi Hasan had the guts, he'd invite me on the show to debate.

.@SouthwestAir you let us down again. Five hour delay with no option to get home the same day. After last years holiday debacle thought things would be different.
My name is Ravi Bhalla and I am running for Congress against Robert Menendez Jr. in the Democratic primary.
Watch my launch video to learn why this Jersey kid thinks all the Jersey kids out there deserve to have faith in our leaders again:
The timing of this is not coincidence. The Modi regime is finally set to prosecute Arundhati Roy.
Netanyahu’s brutal war in Gaza, with the approval of global powers, will embolden authoritarians across the world.

Today in #Sikh History:
On this day in 1992, Bhai Sukhdev Singh ‘Sukha’ and Bhai Harjinder Singh ‘Jinda’ were executed by the Indian government. Sukha and Jinda were members of the Khalistan Commando Force. They had delivered justice to General Vaidya, the head of the Indian army, during the attack on the Sri Harimandar Sahib Complex and the subsequent Battle of Amritsar of June 1984. They were also involved in delivering justice to perpetrators of the genocide of November 1984 and other Indian government officials responsible for human rights abuses against Sikhs.
Sukha and Jinda were later captured, tried, and sentenced to death. They remained in chardi kala (soaring spirit of optimism and joy) until their last, never apologizing for what they did, stating they had a moral obligation to deliver justice to those who had harmed Sikhs.
On the day of their execution, they woke up at 12:00 a.m. and, after bathing, did their morning Nitnem. After a small breakfast, they wore distinctive white clothes with orange dastars and parnas. They shouted jaikarai (victory cries) on the way to the gallows. They had wanted to bring sweets to their executioners but were not allowed to. They climbed the gallows with smiles on their faces and kissed their nooses. They wanted to put their nooses around their necks but were not allowed to. Jinda shouted to Sukha, “Vir Sukhia, Roar a Fatih.” They both loudly shouted jaikarai and were then hung.
Sukha and Jinda had asked that their families not mourn their deaths and instead celebrate their shahidi (martyrdom). In Chardi Kala, their families gave out sweets and did not mourn but instead did Kirtan. A quote from their last letter to their families, “Mother, Father, your sons have been greatly blessed by Satguru Ji. Today even death is afraid of your sons. We feel a weird sensation of happiness and consider ourselves very lucky that Satguru Ji has given us so many blessings.”

The California governor just buckled to the Hindutva lobby, arguing that he can’t sign a bill banning caste discrimination because other forms of discrimination are already banned in the state.
As others have noted, the Hindutva lobby won this battle technically, but the battle was largely won against them in the media. But I caution people not to overplay the narrative. This bill passed with huge majorities through both houses of the legislature in California. Then it sat for a month on the governor’s desk before he vetoed it.
California Governor Gavin Newsom wants to run for president. His refusal to support banning caste discrimination reflects his national ambitions. The ultimate outcome of this battle is that he buckled under to a tiny but deeply monied American Hindutva lobby.
The job now is to rip the mask off that lobby.

Today in #Sikh History:
After the Battle of Amritsar and the June 1984 Ghallughara, the Panjab and Indian governments utilized Santa Singh and his Budha Dal as a facade to swiftly reconstruct Akal Takht Sahib and repair the damage inflicted upon the Harimandar Sahib Complex during the Battle. The Sikh community was outraged that the government responsible for the destruction was now employing government resources to rebuild Akal Takht Sahib, concealing their crimes.
Initially, the government attempted to enlist the renowned Kar Seva Baba, Baba Kharak Singh, to reconstruct Akal Takht Sahib, but he declined the offer. Desperate to establish some legitimacy, they turned to the Nihang Singhs.
In response, the Singh Sahibs of the Harimandar Sahib Complex issued a summons to Santa Singh. However, he refused to appear before the Panj Piare and was excommunicated. Santa Singh enjoyed protection from the Panjab Police, the Indian army, and Congress officials from Delhi, who held press conferences on his behalf.
On March 17th, 2001, after 17 years of ex-communication, Santa Singh presented himself before the Singh Sahibs at Akal Takht Sahib. He received Tankhah (punishment) and was reinstated into the Panth.
