@vekllei@Scan_101 Vekllei might seem like a utopia, but they won't tell you that if you work the graveyard shift at a pizzeria, the ludic economy makes Five Nights at Freddy's real.
97% of my computer science knowlege is reverse engineered from reading the annotated code for Elite (1984). After getting starting some hobbyist game dev, I hope my projects are full of hilariously fucked up design choices.
@royceybrackets A memorable part of playing SURVEY_PROGRAM on release was hearing The Legend, and being super underwhelmed that it just seemed like lame generic RPG lore. Then, in the next scene it becomes totally clear it being like that is kinda the point.
Queensland Fire and Rescue crews are continuing to assist partner agencies following the discovery of several potentially hazardous objects around Forrest Beach in North Queensland.
Specialist QFR Scientific teams have safely secured a number of the items throughout the weekend and remain on scene continuing their work. A 50-metre exclusion zone is still in place.
If you come across any suspicious objects in the area, do not touch them. Move away and call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
The nature and origin of the debris are still being investigated.
@GreatestNate888 I've actually been thinking about that since 3+4 came out. Have they ever learned something in a dark world that's not: known by any of the lightners there, about the dark world, or part of a darkner's light form (eg. the code on the extinguisher).
One of the most impressive things Kane Parsons pulled off with Backrooms was when it briefly turned into his proof of concept for a Portal movie but without it feeling super disruptive to the rest of the film.
@HumanBeingAlpha Right, so you're saying it's PROVEN that:

∴ preferred gender = gender
Thanks for being so supportive.
“Yeah, we have muon-catalyzed fusion in 2400. Once you’ve solved electromagnetism it’s trivial. That leads to Manifold-Break Drives, which enable slipping under the vacuum membrane and- tauon-catalyzed fusion? Are you insane. What’s wrong with you. We hate tau particles here sir”
@SpaceKoala My crackpot theory is that Eridians are actually really bad at math. They seem amazing at it because they can basically memorize lookup tables, but novel calculations are huge struggle.
It's crazy, even from the most pro AI perspective, Google's specific AI is notably shit compared to the rest of the field. We can all agree that a correct-answer-machine shouldn't be THAT consistanly wrong.
In folklore, some two legged dragons are also known as wyverns, but 'dragon' is a very broad term. The list of things considered dragons has included shellfish, meteors, and a lot of big snakes with no limbs at all.
The idea that 'wyvern' and 'dragon' are distinct and mutually exclusive categories comes from heraldic terminology, not mythology.
It's like insisting that whenever a lion turns its head while walking it stops being a lion and becomes a leopard.
