@TVGrimReaper Itโs a myth that the MLS lost all these TV viewers by going with Apple or that they were somehow primed for great growth on television before Apple. No way. It was the right move to take the money and they will miss the cash once itโs over because thereโs nothing else.
@TVGrimReaper This a small preview of the 2030s. Traditional rights holders unwilling or unable to increase their bids for sports rights versus tech companies. Broadcasters better home network tv is still worth something to the leagues at that point.
@akhivae Even in Israel nothing is a sure thing.
As Haredi grow to be greater % of Israeli population, they will change and be changed by greater society in Israel. No telling what this means for Israeli demographic long term.
@neilcybart Why are you gonna do tho? Sports role in culture is ever diminishing. Best you can do is tie up with world class athletes that are famous for being world class regardless of specific sport.
@UltraHDBluray According to the RIAA, in 2022, CD rev dropped 18% vs 2021 to $483M. In 2023, rev grew 11% to $537M. No 2024 #s yet. I will start being worried about movies when rev is below CD.
@TVGrimReaper Wouldnโt a successful ad tier disincentive increasing the price for that tier in order to maximize eyeballs for ads. You might even lower the price. I donโt get it unless Netflix isnโt getting top dollar for ads.
@BenBajarin@Qualcomm Lines up with the rumours that the first device with an Apple modem will be the iPhone SE in 2025. The rest of the line up can transition over 2026 and 2027.
@Aaronal16 Interesting to see where SKโs population will be by end of century. could be <20m from 52m today. Also how low will get before it stabilizes at 2.1. 15m? 10m? Less?
@TVGrimReaper HBO is so strange. They have many shows hardly anyone watches especially in comedy, sports, and talk shows. You would think they would try different things to see if they can find more viewers for those time slots but instead they do endless seasons of Gumble, Maher, and Oliver.
