Hey, @nytimes. I really enjoyed Jesse Nathan’s two recent op-Ed pieces. They are fresh, interesting, insightful. I would like to suggest that you hire him as a columnist, replacing David Brooks, whose columns have been none of those things for a long time.
@tweethue That’s not good enough. Privacy policies change and very very few people read the fine print of those changes. Databases leak.

Hi @tweethue. I have four of your lightbulbs that I control from my phone. It's very convenient! However, not so convenient that I will give you information to set up an account. I'll discard them and get different lightbulbs. Smart lightbulbs, dumb marketing decision.
@tweethue That’s not good enough. Maybe you change your policy one day. Maybe your data is stolen. Maybe I really, really don’t want marketing email from you. Once you require my data you lose my business.
