If you're curious about the latest on predictive processing theory, this is the book to read. Jakob is one of the most sober and deep thinkers on the topic and I would pretty blindly trust whatever he says on the SOTA. Entirely free and open access, no less.
💫🦋😊Here's my latest work on Language As A Nonlinear Dynamical system:

Please give it a clap if you enjoy it even if the ideas may not be 'perfect'. I'm not a great writer and it was hard for me to try and get the concepts across.

Quantum computing is a multi-billion dollar scam. Here's why.
My take on quantum computing is that it is a scam based on a ridiculous, pseudoscientific interpretation of quantum mechanics called 'superposition'. It claims that a quantum property can have 2 states at the same time. This is like saying that a switch can be both on and off. 🙄
However, and this is where the pseudoscience comes in, superposition can never be observed. Any attempt to observe it causes it to collapse into one state or the other. This is not science. It's unicorn superstition. Unlike large language models, biological brains are genetically wired against this kind of bullshit.
The brilliant Austrian physicist, Erwin Schrödinger, ridiculed superposition in his famous half-dead-cat-in-the-box thought experiment. But somehow, through massive propaganda, the scammers managed to turn the ridicule into praise. Bullshit was given a thin coating of gold and placed on a pedestal.
Superposition is the same pseudoscience behind parallel universes, the silly stuff of science fiction movies. So now we have sci-fi fruitcakes like David Deutsch preaching about infinite numbers of parallel universe from a bully pulpit.
Dear Lord. What is happening to humanity? We are being flooded with brazen false teachers. How did we sink so low? I weep.🤦♂️
A couple of centuries ago, nutjobs like Deutsch would have been locked up in an insane asylum and the scammers would have been given an appointment with the gallows.
I'm not amused and neither is Ms. Karma. 😠

@JMarzinsky48407 Hello Jerry,
I've tried to email via your website in the past. Would you be interested in doing a short podcast interview on your work?
Thank you for your interesting and important work!
Thank you @DrJohnVervaeke for a great conversation on the nature of God, spirits, non-duality & the Book of Revelation (amongst other topics). I particularly liked learning about misconceptions about God common to both theists and atheists. Link: https://t.co/1DNB7dtv7F
@kevinsimler Hello Kevin, would you be open to doing a podcast interview? I really like your book The Elephant in the Brain and your essays on superorganisms, rituals, religion, and the historical perception of spirits and gods. I would love to talk about these with you.
Thanks @juliangough for a fun podcast exploring cosmological natural selection and whether new universes could emerge on the other side of black holes!

Thanks @adamjgoldstein for a fun podcast on the unexpected competencies in computer algorithms from a new paper with @drmichaellevin & Taining Zhang. How does the FEP apply to silicon computers? Do algorithms pervade life and universe? https://t.co/HNx6WxZNKZ
@JMarzinsky48407 Hey Jerry, I'm Jack a british podcaster who greatly appreciates your work. Would you be willing to do a podcast sometime over the next few months? I can send you a 5 point plan of the topics we could cover, if you were interested.
Thanks @drmichaellevin for a highly enjoyable deep-dive into the platonic realm of patterns.
Do non-physical patterns want to ingress into the physical? Do organisms actually like inhabiting novel embodiments? Does mathematics explain everything? Link: https://t.co/jzRPouKTrv
Thanks @PeterSjostedtH for a fun podcast on how 5-MeO-DMT experiences point us to Spinoza's pantheism, as well as how psychedelics challenge our metaphysical assumptions. Link: https://t.co/VkYCJbDg95
@ThouArtThat Thanks Matt for a lovely podcast on Whitehead, God, Bergson, consciousness and memory. I particuarly liked thinking of God as a persuasive lure that guides possibilities for creatures. Link: https://t.co/UynnmSBE80
Is all intelligence a form of collective intelligence? If so, could economics and prices be a framework for understanding how distributed parts form intelligent wholes, from organisms to cells to societies? New podcast with @BenjaminLy61243 is out now! https://t.co/HoGdmLrzrB
Thanks @Plinz for a fun podcast on spirits, software and consciousness. I had heard Joscha Bach call spirits "self-organizing software agents" and wanted to explore that theme more. It took a while to schedule and to post, so I'm glad its now up!

New podcast on cognition in weird places, what DNA actually does, as well as thoughts on how evolution works, some of Alan Turing's crazy ideas, and consciousness: https://t.co/h067rXhBca
Thanks @TheGroupLens & @aodhanpmoran for a podcast on their great book Gods, Heroes and Groups, which uses mythology to understand unconscious dynamics present in groups, societies, nations and more. Link: https://t.co/UhYjnsMX7B
I did a new podcast with @JeanPhi76459673 on modern science after materialism. Especially liked getting into the nature of angels and agential non-material patterns, which perhaps are more amenable to science now. Link: https://t.co/b25dDz65hX
Thanks @AdamSafron for a great podcast just released on consciousness in AI, biologically inspired AI, and the future of AI governance. It was fun as usual with Adam — thanks!
