@martyrmade Don't speak for everyone. I reject free will as I look for evidence of freedom and fail to find it. Not because of any world view. You can live as if you have it 99% of the time. Remembering you don't is far from devaluing, it's humbling, grounding and increases empathy.
@thebadstats OK. What mass emails did he send? Asking as I often enjoy the darkhorse podcast and Bret's POV on things interests me. Am however not dogmatic and would like to know if I'm just a dummy who's been duped.
@BretWeinstein @Bentokey The freedom to believe it doesn't mean you are free to choose whether you do or not. You do not control what you believe or disbelieve through willpower.
@alexandrosM What do you make of this? https://t.co/p2n6VI1wQZ
Would love to hear Bret engage. I'm not knowledgeable enough to critique it but he said he wanted to be corrected.
@BowTiedBroke @thepastintoday @BowTiedMahi I know myself well enough to know I get overwhelmed by large tasks and can feel paralysed so this makes sense. Start small and build.
I'm a bricklayer by day on housing sites and energy can be low after work. Just need to develop good habits and start to feel like it's doable.
@BowTiedBroke @thepastintoday @BowTiedMahi Thank you guys so much.
I'd be starting with 0/100 experience and 0/100 knowledge. A way off all that. Just to be selling a single product through amazon feels like a huge mission, but can clearly be done. Something that provides solid fundamentals is what I need.
