@TSinghmorethanl @JakeMitche1l I second this. Not usually my thing and I’ve been unable to find another podcast on a similar theme that I enjoy, but Uncanny is a good listen.
@talkaboutluck I’ve seen a couple in Manchester / Lancashire over the last few months but they are thin on the ground. I understand there is only 1 in the whole of Cumbria.
@andrewcpearson@oliviasmithh25@devecs I went for Lincoln’s because they don’t! I felt I had a good chance of getting through a paper sift before interview but was worried that if I had a bad day at interview I’d get lost in amongst many other talented applicants. As we both got scholarships we must have chosen wisely

I've now had a chance to read all 40 pages of the Coutts dossier on Farage and it's 9 pages of internal risk assessment discussion (1-4, 8-12) 29 pages of evidence (5-7, 13-38) referred to in the risk assessment pages, 1 page of decision (39) and 1 page of glossary (40).

@FaiselSadiq @AdamPorte@SjBarrister@gifford_head@JoMoore_ @major_clanger @LottieJohn1 @AnnekaSinclair @RichardMoorhead @BDABarOrg@TheInnerTemple I don’t think “best apply elsewhere” is good advice. But I do think, if you have capacity to make X applications applicants ought to consider how many of those they are willing to use on what is likely to be a speculative app, and it isn’t bad advice /1
@FaiselSadiq @gifford_head@JoMoore_ @major_clanger @LottieJohn1 @AnnekaSinclair @RichardMoorhead @BDABarOrg That is inherently (perhaps unintentionally) biased against me. It’s not for applicants to make the bar more diverse, it’s for individual sets (which I know many are trying hard to do) but there are still sets where there is an evident bias.
@FaiselSadiq @gifford_head@JoMoore_ @major_clanger @LottieJohn1 @AnnekaSinclair @RichardMoorhead @BDABarOrg I have no A-levels, a 1st class non oxbridge degree, an Outstanding on the bar course etc etc but if I look at a set and their last 10 pupils are all oxbridge, and Jacob said, I see a bias in the system. When I was applying last year I wouldn’t waste one of my 8 apps on a set /3
