Woke up feeling incredibly grateful to have gotten to represent @base research in my own way at DevCon yesterday. Led a 2-hour workshop about RIP-7755 focusing on nested storage proof validation and how we can use that to cryptographically prove successful fulfillment of a cross-chain call on a destination chain!
Round 2 today at Eth Interop day.
Making progress!
Been in the trenches with the team building but want to highlight an exciting milestone from a couple weeks ago: 10k transactions in a single block, i.e. 5k TPS.
Results of the team's work on scaling and stability. Onward!

Has anyone built a high quality production tx manager in rust using alloy abstractions? Can’t find one from initial searches. Considering adding our own to the @base stack
@ptrwtts@base Yeah I meant like a rust utility crate for managing transaction lifecycle. We went ahead and built it ourselves although rrelayer does look interesting. I hadn’t seen that before!

After aggressive scaling last year, the Base Chain team is focused on reliability right now. One of the metrics we watch is "empty blocks built," as symptom of sequencer instability we sometimes see during periods of high demand.
Recently it's the lowest it's been in ~1 year 🥳
A new, unified stack for Base Chain
Excited to share that we are evolving our technical roadmap, consisting of our own spec, code, and infra to accelerate the foundation of Base. This shift gives us the autonomy to ship protocol improvements more frequently and focus our resources on scaling to 1 gigagas/s.
What this means for builders:
- Higher Velocity: Targeting 6 hardforks per year to get you new features and fixes faster.
- Massive Scale: Targeting 1 gigagas/s to support high-throughput apps without congestion.
- Extreme Reliability: Targeting 99.99% non-empty blocks and predictable, low fees.
- Simpler Design: A maximally simple spec that’s easier to audit and build on.
Along with this, we will take a more active role in managing our own upgrade schedule and stack: allowing us to build what the ecosystem needs, at the speed it needs, while remaining deeply aligned with Ethereum.

Base Chain is seeing record high volumes of transaction submission during the volatility in the market and some users are seeing delays in having their transactions included.
The team is all hands on deck to address these issues and are continuing scaling efforts to provide even more capacity for transaction throughput.

Deploy the ERC-20 equivalent of any SPL token and start bridging instantly
If you're not looking to go deep on the details, you can use @flaunchgg or @AerodromeFi as simple deployers
But for the rest of you:
00:00 intro
1:15 deploy devnet SPL
3:30 deploy erc-20
6:60 bridging
Researchers have found two new vulnerabilities in React Server Components while attempting to exploit the patches last week.
These are new issues, separate from the critical CVE last week. The patch for React2Shell remains effective for the Remote Code Execution exploit.
Spent a lot of time thinking about and working on bridging between Base <> Solana the last 8-9 months and we finally launched a solution last week!
Learned a lot along the way and have big plans for what’s next
Check out our latest tech blog to learn more about how the bridge works and where we’d like to take it from here
The Base-Solana Bridge went live last week, enabling the seamless transfer of assets between both chains.
Our team wrote a technical deep dive on:
• Why we built the bridge
• Architecture & design choices
• Roadmap for future improvements & decentralization
