@Pr0bP0stL1b@bt3690465@JAHeale Not really the point, is it? It’s all a Farage clique. Reform itself is relatively young. So was the Brexit Party. So was UKIP.
They’re long-time Farage cronies, regardless of what party he’s leading this week and they’ve followed him to. Remember, Farage and Gill “hardly met”:
@denisefortru@bt3690465@JAHeale But you haven’t addressed my point though.
Most have applied to be Reform candidates or are already Reform officials. Jonathan Gullis, Andrea Jenkyns, etc. more no doubt will apply for the general election too
@denisefortru@bt3690465@JAHeale Or Jake Berry? Nadhim Zahawi? Nadine Dorries? All Boris Johnson’s crew that caused the Boriswave and COVID corruption. It goes on and on.
The Tories now are unrecognisable and FINALLY conservative again after a terrible last government was hijacked by opportunistic liberals
@denisefortru@bt3690465@JAHeale And who told you that? Reform!
If you believe that Braverman (Home Sec at height of Boriswave) and Jenrick (a liberal Cameronite Remainer) are now truly anti-immigration crusaders (and not just because it’s good for his career), I have a seaside house to sell you in Switzerland
@denisefortru@bt3690465@JAHeale You just proved my point.
The worst of the self-centred Tory party have moved to Reform because it soared in polls and attracted the shameless opportunists and liars
You can have Kemi’s new no-bullshit Tory party, or Boris Johnson’s failed sleazy Boriswave Cabinet in Reform
@bt3690465@JAHeale You are right that they - as anyone - are innocent until proven guilty. But you must see the culture of cronyism that’s pervasive in Reform? The way things are done, it’s conducive to rule-bending.
A Reform gov would be investigation after investigation, no time for delivering.
@bt3690465@JAHeale Their leader in Wales just got sentenced to a decade in prison for taking bribes from Russia. His successor just resigned after being arrested for assault.
Reform’s foreign donations, Farage’s dodgy undeclared £5m, Jenrick’s donations and Tice’s company all under investigation.
@Luis_Cook1@reformparty_uk@RestoreBritain The irony. “Restore clearly costing lots of seats and gaining none themselves”.
The Tories have no God-given right to anyone’s votes - but where was this logic when Reform cost the Tories an estimated 80 seats in 2024 and yet won 5 themselves, handing Labour a *super*majority?
@slackkejakke This is just false I’m afraid.
Insanely hard for Scotland to meet the Maastricht Criteria. Its deficit to GDP ratio now (even with the higher per capita public spending from the block grant), is 11%. EU entry maximum is 3%. SNP admitted impossible to meet in under a decade.
@jaydden01@catothesaltman The Copenhagen Criteria maybe but not the Maastricht Criteria, which is also a requirement. Scotland now (with a block grant and higher per capita public spending than England because of it), is well above (11%) the 3% of GDP deficit ratio the EU demands. The EU won’t take them.
@Sudo_User1@natasghar@MGP19_ There may be an independence majority in Holyrood in seats after May, but only 41% of Scots voted for pro-independence parties (SNP, Greens). That’s down 8 points on the last Holyrood election. In 2024, the SNP lost 39 of their 48 Westminster seats. There is no appetite.
