@wallin_ballin@HarrisonHighto2@ThemeParkDad90 ToT also has lighting effects that play into the story of the ride. Green lightning shoots from the window on the top floor into one of the elevator shafts, synchronized with the ride cycle to make it look like it's the cause for the elevator falling.
@TomKMorris@Defunctland @BlueStripeWall @boss_angeles @PastramOnRye Absolutely fascinating. Thanks! It feels like the evolution of animatronic technology alone could fill a whole book! (hint hint? :P) "Before the Birds Sang Words" by Ken Bruce gets into it, but it's understandably focused on just the early Tiki Room tone reed technology.
@YourMindAches @ThemedSuper @JennyENicholson I thought their demo of somebody pretending to move an object using the Force was pretty neat. I can think of a couple story reason why you'd want to do it with holotile instead of hidden wheels in the object itself, but it might not be worth the $$$
@FYAPod@ReviewTymeLuke and @ReviewtymeDom would make a great guest team! You would probably have to make an exception for extinct attractions and talk about a certain sea god's fury, though.
@KingRCT3 I agree with literally everything you said! I've been thinking the same thing since the first POVs came out. The animatronics and a lot of the effects are absolutely gorgeous, but in the end it feels like a collection of cavernous rooms with one or two figures to look at in each.
@MoonBunniez@TimLohr77@TPMvideos The nose is likely not to have any structural support underneath and only be part of the silicone "mask." I think they're onto something, because building these things is not cheap, so it's very likely that Disney built some form of reusable "princess" A1000 animatronic design.
@FrankMezzatesta The prompt seems weird to us because there never was an official name for the "trick" they teach in modern math, which is something people have been doing since forever. If I have to e.g. add 127 and 45 in my head I'll take 3 off to make it 130+42. Now it has a name: make a ten.
I just released version 1.5.0 of md2cf, featuring a whole bunch of new features: page labels, postface Markdown, .gitignore support, and some Confluence Cloud fixes!
Thanks to @bjosk for contributing some of these :)
