Reminder that Sudanese are calling for a boycott of the UAE. You do not need to wait for the US or any other empire to be boycotted first. Boycott the UAE now & stop the whataboutism. The UAE is funding & arming the RSF & driving the worst humanitarian crisis in recorded history.
the genocide in Darfur is not religious. the idea that Africans are only worth saving if they're Christian is a colonial & missionary hangover. everything is turned into a 'civilizational' war against 'radical Islam.' it's a dog whistle that gives cover for intensified extraction
RSF is literally a secularist and anti-islamist group.
And most of their victims are Muslims.
"Because it doesn’t fit the narrative, almost nobody cares."
Meanwhile, he’s just blatantly lying to push his narrative against Islam.
Darfur's El Fasher has “descended into an even darker hell,” senior UN officials warned, as the United Arab Emirates-armed Rapid Support Forces militia seized control, forcing tens of thousands to flee amid reports of mass executions, rape and starvation. https://t.co/tL5Az7ZkzZ
Sudan specialist Shayna Lewis says the massacres taking place in the North Darfur region of Sudan should come as no surprise and will “go down in infamy”.

It's so difficult to get traction when tweeting about journalists from the African continent who are in danger. Muammar has been taken by the RSF militia and we need to raise our voices for him.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been carrying out a genocide against unarmed civilians in El Fasher.
What is happening in Sudan is not an internal conflict but a proxy war orchestrated to serve foreign interests and financed by the United Arab Emirates.
The blood of the Sudanese people stains the hands of the international community that protects the criminal Emirati regime and turns a blind eye to its atrocities.
We live in a world governed not by values but by power, a world where tragedy is measured not by the depth of human suffering but by the color of the victims and their position within the global capitalist order.
When the perpetrators belong to the imperial system of exploitation and the victims come from the impoverished Global South, silence prevails, because in the logic of the market, some lives simply do not count.
The level of terror that the UAE has inflicted on Sudan few countries have experienced in their history. And yet Sudanese can’t even convince 99% of you to give up going on holiday to that Temu Las Vegas
Sudanese journalist Muammar Ibrahim has been detained by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as they advanced in el-Fasher, raising concerns about his safety and prompting calls for his release https://t.co/yM8hbFq0CH
Sudan's emergency response rooms are responsible for saving millions of lives in a 30 month war that has not had a single humanitarian pause or ceasefire.
They are nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for the second year in a row. We celebrate them regardless of the outcome.
Ali Kushayb convicted on all counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity for his role in the janaweed 20years ago. Given Darfur's current circumstances, it is impossible to see this as justice being served, especially since the ICC itself sees its role as a deterrent to future crimes. If that is the principal measure of success, then we should acknowledge the failure of this justice process.
