Now that the ERO is finally passed we must insist that the ECCE capitation is raised to €76 per child at a cost to Government €30m. @mmcgrathtd this must be addressed as a matter of urgency now. Small services will close as they are not viable.

The government's own data showed viability concerns as far back as 2018. Now your local ECCE Preschool, allowing parents to choose part time work, is under enormous pressure, compounded by new incoming staff costs and other factors. Core Funding doesn't solve the problem. HELP!

ECCE services should not have to change service type to suite Core Funding. CF should have made better provisions for these services. All I’m hearing is closures particularly in rural Ireland. Such a huge loss to communities. Something needs to happen to keep services open.

We have been fighting this now for weeks. We have been attacked on social media for telling the truth. ECCE services have been left behind. Breaking even is not an option. Rate of inflation is going to keep rising and cost are going up every day. Consultation is need now.

It seems the number of Ecce services who will loose out on CoreFunding is a lot higher than 1%. After holding cross country meetings with providers we have had many of the small operators say they are closing for good. This is a huge concern for the FECP @rodericogorman @isme_ie
