@MaryKapadia@CutMyTaxUK Insider trading is illegal.
Trading shares helps prove discovery and a share price allows companies to invest ie jobs and productivity. It's risky hence the lower tax rate.
@Newspace14@CutMyTaxUK What do you mean "parking money". If you invest capital into a business ie buy shares that allows the business to invest. It's a risk and thst is why every serious country taxes the profits accordingly. It's why CGT aligned with Corporation Tax, not income tax.
@BeardedBrownMa1@SBarrettBar I didn't know that. Article from 2010 but let's take it at face value. As a British jew I have many jewish friends and none are orthodox. All very much Brits and paying lots of tax. I think the orthodox are a small fraction.
@jakeshieldsajj Err... Not special ambulances. Not just for them. Literally community funded and fir everyone and that act of charity is critised. Utter nobjockey
@BeardedBrownMa1@SBarrettBar Only 300,000 Jews in Britain. I wonder what their average tax bill is. I wonder how many claim benefits. I wonder how many commit violent crime and take up police time. I wonder how many have private health care and schools to save state money.
@pastry_enthus@SBarrettBar But your analogy makes no sense. These are British people in Britain. Volunteers serving the entire community. A child died choking because ambulance was too slow so the community raised funds.... This is model of integration.. Pitch in, get on with it, don't shout about it.
@LloydsBank Just got declined a credit card on eligibility check 🤣. I earn £400k pa, own house no mortgage, zero debt, never CCJ, IVA etc. Been a Lloyd's customer for 35 year since Uni. Your app is a joke. Totally ruined my loyalty to your bank. You left mark on my credit file.
3. A child cut off while everyone else is online isn’t being “protected”, they’re isolated. They miss the jokes, plans, group chats. They’re left imagining what’s being said about them, catching fragments second-hand, feeling excluded by design. Cue the bullying.
@GBNEWS I’m generally against government bans and favour parental responsibility. But social media is different. When parents ban it unilaterally, they risk causing the very harm they’re trying to prevent.
1/2
2/2 A child who’s offline while their peers are online is excluded from group conversations, left feeling talked about, and vulnerable to bullying by omission. This a collective problem, not an individual parenting choice. A universal ban protects children all children #gbnews
@LeilaniDowding@pjsuffolk@David__Osland I agree with your sentiment but your analogy is wrong. The shareholder is charged IHT on the shares in their business
That's exactly the point. A CEO is just an employee of thr company
@David__Osland Despite cashflow arguments, why can't you appreciate the bond between the land and those who take care of it. It's a generational calling. Why do you lefties hate history, families, tradition. One incentive to be a farmer is to pass it on thru the generations.
