Charles : "Le goudron ?

🔴 On the final lap, at the moment of the mistake, Charles had a 0.030 advantage over Verstappen and about 0.1 over Antonelli 😭😭😭
That lap 😭

I understand your frustration, but understand something: yes, Charles made a mistake, yes he was very close to pole, he gave us the impression that he could go for pole, but remember that he did that with brake issues and zero confidence IN MONACO.
Honestly, you know me, you know I’m always confident. Before quali, I didn’t believe in it (the pole), which is why I’m less frustrated, but we have to realize that Charles did something insane on this last lap before the mistake with ZERO CONFIDENCE.
Look at Charles’ interviews, do you see him angry about his mistake? No, even though God knows how hard Charles is on himself.
If the car was “incredible,” Lewis should also have been on pole or P2, but he also had issues on his car. Anyway, let’s move on, the season isn’t over. If you want to stop believing, then stop now, but don’t tell those who still believe to do the same. If you don’t have faith in Charles, Lewis, and the team, that’s your problem.
In any case, I will always be behind Charles, and behind the whole team. Forza Ferrari.

Max Verstappen claps back at Juan Pablo Montoya
"I don’t know what his problem is. I also have very little patience with someone who talks so much nonsense. I just don’t understand why types like that get paid by F1 management, simply because he sometimes works for them."
"Surely you don’t want someone like that in the paddock who spouts so much rubbish? I think it’s a case of: ‘I say something different from everyone else, so I’m relevant.’ It doesn’t bother me that much; it’s his problem. I live my life and won’t let it influence me."

Max thinks along the same route as me.
I don’t see any reason teams and drivers wouldn’t get behind something like this, and the math is sensical for the kind of all-out racing we want to see:
Power Unit Target - 1000bhp 🎯
80/20 split
600kW Naturally Aspirated V8 🔥
150kW MGU-K deployment⚡️
(200kW MGU-K regen limit)
3MJ per lap recharge limit
4MJ ES capacity with 3MJ SoC max
(Increases charging efficiency, thermals, and ES health longevity)
Boost/overtake mode output +50kW
Chassis sizes stay the same
Weight slightly reduces by PU
Hybrid approach to GE Venturi floors
(Focuses on high speed corners)
Target MORE usable DWF, not less
Allow complex suspension inerters
(Focuses on mechanical platform)
Scrap front movable aero
Make rear aero DRS style again
Relax restrictions on flexi front wings
Keep cost cap the same
Promote more in-season development
Relaxed form of ADUO
Cap Sprints at 25% of calendar
Refine overtaking rules (leave space)

Has Charles Leclerc got the wrong passport too?
Because 20s for Charles vs 5s for Hamilton with worse track limits in Singapore just isn’t consistent stewarding from the FIA.
