“Yeah, we got killed tonight. You know, that also happened to this one guy, and he was back three days later. Proved ‘em all wrong. Things can turn fast.”
Clemson friends:
I am SO sorry. You were 👑 when CFB was at its best. Cherish that.
In this dark era, you have:
🏈 Smaller school
🏈 Smaller alumni base
🏈 Smaller town
🏈 Smaller endowment
Financially, LSU v Clemson ain’t a fair fight. Sad this is what CFB has become. #ALLIN
Western Michigan just physically whipped Michigan for 60 minutes but the @bigten invented a new clock that nobody knew about that was delayed by a second.
Never come at me with an argument for a Group of 6-only playoff again.
These teams belong. These players belong. College football is better because of the potential for upsets like this.
“Power 2”
“We control the size of the CFP field”
“We need more bids than anyone”
“Every strength of schedule is Top 20!”
“Toughest top to bottom”
“Everyone else sucks”
“9-3 SEC teams > 11-1 others”
All that, and over the past 3 years the SEC has fewer CFP wins against non-con P4s than the ACC, who is constantly treated like an afterthought.
This is what people outside the SEC laugh about.
Tennessee and Missouri didn't beat a team with a winning record. LSU was literally 7-6. Good names, but empty names last year.
This is arguably the most egregious use of VAR I’ve ever seen. Soccer has few clear rules. Everything is a judgment call. There are multiple “fouls” on every corner kick on both sides. By sending it to VAR you are guaranteeing the goal is overturned for a flop. It’s manipulation by bureaucratese.
That last goal strangely symbolic for the USMNT. Our very average MLS keeper has an episode 25 yards from goal then our 38-year-old center back can’t sort his body out to block a side-footed pass straight at him. We’re just not there yet.
