@MarioNawfal Shutting off the pumps long term could cause serious irreversible damage to the pumps. Not only would Iran’s GDP be tremendously down, their main way to make money could be severely damaged leading to months of repairs and a ton of money. Hold strong a little longer!

@Bigfan4Usa @Hedgeye It’s saying we made investments in heavy crude oil not sweet crude oil (which is what we pump) because light sweet crude oil was declining at the time. Heavier crude oil was more popular so we made our refineries able to process that oil. It backs up my claim

@Bigfan4Usa @Hedgeye You are missing my point. I’m not saying we are at a disadvantage. I was saying that most of the oil we pump here we can’t refine bc our refineries literally can’t do it. People are upset to see we are exporting so much oil but don’t realize that we physically can’t use that oil

@Bigfan4Usa @Hedgeye Yes the US refines oil but most of it is the heavy sour oil from other countries not the sweet crude oil that the USA pumps. That’s why it’s exported so heavily

@IceIceBrand0n @Hedgeye @Roughneck4795 Not Trump’s fault. USA produces light sweet crude oil. Our refineries can’t refine that oil so we sell it. And we haven’t built any new refineries since like the 1970s because of all the environmental regulations. It would take years to build a new one.
