@Sean_Speer@TheHubCanada "There's also our.....preference for market solutions"...But actually no carbon tax, just like other market solutions you know
@westcoastjan4@KahlonRav Presumably a building with 2 vs. 1 staircase is still inaccessible to someone with mobility issues. Good thing there are elevators.
@jettieG@KahlonRav Also, "City's can do nothing" Jesus you don't know a thing..it is their very own laws and rules which restricts different types of housing to be built..often forcing developers to built tall, smaller units in concentrated areas while SFH zones are unchanged. Please learn go learn
@MaloneyJason@KahlonRav It isn't anybody's duty... lots of people want to live near services, jobs, entertainment. How fucking thick are some of you people? What the gov is doing is essentially trying to let the market decide how housing gets built rather than archaic zoning laws.
@MyTweetLordy@iamkennethchan You clearly know nothing or never go downtown if you think Robson and Granville is an important intersection for car traffic
@MrManderly@iamkennethchan Paying for parking isn't a tax. There's much more demand than there is parking spots available, so raising prices is perfectly reasonable.
@essentialCX@blaircowan1@AndrewScheer The whole point of a CT is to incentivize polluters to pollute less so they have to pay less, reducing emissions along the way. In a market economy people respond to such incentives, you realize that right?
