Check out the new way you can play #Chessle - with Piece Square Matching! With Piece Square Matching, a move is considered to be the same as another move if the same piece moved from the same starting square to the same ending square.

@PHChess I could believe it, it's probably either this or something similar (minus the double Nc3). I haven't done the exact analysis to micro-optimize the move order, but in general this probably hits all the common moves and has strategic early move placement to narrow down the options
You may pick between the two modes before guessing every day, but your choice is set after submitting a guess. Enjoy, and please let me know what other features you'd like added!

Exact Notation Matching examples:
Nxe5 IS NOT the same as Ne5.
Qh5+ IS NOT the same as Qh5.
Nbd7 IS NOT the same as Nd7.
Nb5 where the knight moves from a3->b5 IS the same as Nb5 where the knight moves from c3->b5.
e5 played by White IS the same as e5 played by Black.

@MattGr1989 When plugged into Lichess opening explorer, after 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5 3. Nf3 the name becomes "English Opening...", it seems to be a transposition from the 1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. d4 move order. The d4 move order also seems to be more popular than the c4 one.
Friendly reminder for newer Chessle players: As stated in the rules, moves are only the same if the notation is exactly the same (Qh5 is not the same as Qh5+). Also, yellow means the move could’ve been played by EITHER player. Enjoy! :)
@jackli_gg Hey jack, my name is Max and I have more Instagram followers at the age of 16. I have no contributions to the internet however I am more popular online than you. You have made multiple efforts at success with your online games, however, they have gained no support.😃👍
@SteveThibault This actually used to be a feature but somehow it added more confusion for some people thinking that it was what they guessed :D Maybe it could be reintroduced if I can figure out how to make it clearer what's going on
