@B_Marsh92 This is an issue we aren’t use to as Wild fans, but we have players out preforming their reasonable contracts and deserving of a pay day once contracts expire, will make it difficult for contract negotiations for the remainder of buyouts
@Flyguy45032372@RussoHockey I get that, but realistically we would all complain if it went into effect today because Nico Sturm was just added to the list yesterday. A-S break gives a nice buffer of a long weekend of no games and players away from hockey to put it in place
@plumcity89@RussoHockey Dewar will play 4th with Sturm/Duhaime until Bjugstad is back, then it will be between those two. Only way Rask is getting in is if there is more injuries/Covid
@RussoHockey How many players need to be on covid protocol for them to cancel? I’m Assuming no matter how many players are injured, it doesn’t matter for canceling.. only players out with covid?
@RussoHockey They did it with Sturm a time or two if I remember correctly last year and he came back in the line up even better. Not every rookie can be Kirill
@jodi_halvy @Prime__flow @kidjen10K Plus he is 20 coming off a year of no hockey due to covid complications, more development will only help him in the future I believe.
@jodi_halvy @Prime__flow @kidjen10K His pay would still overlap that last year with buyouts. If he plays like we expect him to, he will be worth a bit. saves money for other players to build a better team. Wild can still pull him up for the last 9 games this season and playoffs W/O burning yr 1 of rookie contract
BREAKING: After six months of sometimes contentious contract talks, Kirill Kaprizov's deal is finally done: #mnwild ink Calder Trophy winner to five-year, $45 million deal
