2/2: @DenverCPD @DenverPerfect10 @MikeJohnstonCO
This is not just hurting big developers. It’s hurting AEC firms, local small businesses, and a lot of others downstream. This is no longer a staffing issue, it’s structural. @KellyBroughDen had the start of a good platform on this
1/2: Response From CPD project coordinator: I am currently reviewing submittals with an assigned due date of April 10th and have an approximate 13 week backlog at this time on all projects. Submittals are reveiewed in the order received and are generally NOT able to be expedited.
@ropinionsonly@Yimbyindenver LOL not a useless point and DZC is certainly neighborhood specific. 2010 rewrite made many of the referenced neighborhood character defining building types harder if not impossible to build on the same lots as under the 56 code -pretty paradoxical & IBC has nothing to do with it
@the_transit_guy Focus on inner city rail / tram / trolley. Much effort has been devoted to solving the commuter problem from bedroom communities, not as much has been focused on final mile. Most traffic downtown is people driving <5 miles. Eliminate the need to get in your car to go across town.
@dansereduick @the_transit_guy 100% agree - make denver a city where you don’t need a car to get around, especially during inclement weather. Busses would work in theory, but they are frequently too unpredictable too underused and too shabby for many to feel comfortable riding.
@DenBicycleLobby My personal favorite... 11th between Grant and Logan - both directions are an absolute nightmare. Bike lanes just kinda disappear for a bit... cute! Cars speeding up and down 11th and around the blind curve. Cant count how many times I've been pushed up over the curb.
Republicans: clean energy subsidies aren't fair and cost jobs! (But also, please clean up after Oil and Gas polluters w/ public funds).
24 states, including Colorado, get $560M for high-priority cleanup of abandoned oil and gas wells https://t.co/8042P2ixv7
@DENAirport I guess Covid is over? Waiting for our bags at baggage claim, it’s packed down here and probably 1/4 of people aren’t even bothering to wear a mask. No enforcement whatsoever either, and we wonder why cases here are soaring?
