@OrvilleIsPissed It’s funny how many egress companies change their prices to whatever the customer is willing to pay. Truth be told only custom egresses could cost 10k. Depending on your area 5-6k is normal for high end egresses.

And there is not a universal requirement for new construction to have an egress window in every basement.

@DangremondSam @Smithcanfixit32 Just a good way to get someone killed. Not sure where this happened but egress code is pretty universial across the board that EVERY basement must have 2 means of egress. Staircase being the first and an egress window or door being the other.

@permasealchi Interesting window and well. A plain well is good for cost effective, not sure about the window from the second picture. I’d recommend a monarch single hung inswing, it’s nicer and easier to exit.
