Thrilled to announce that Grace and I will be heading to Cincinnati for me to begin residency at @CincyENT!
I can’t thank everyone enough for all the support, guidance, and mentorship throughout the last few years!
Such a great point here particularly because it’s coming from one of the best educators I encountered in medical school @UABHeersink. Thanks for persevering through the Step 1 pain, Dr. Rosenblum!
I almost failed step 1 (passed by 1 point back when it was graded). I barely got interviews as a foreign medical graduate. Failures and setbacks are a daily struggle, and after a good cry (or two), you keep trying. Perspective also changes with loss.
Need this in residency man…
“He’s going for his 100th flex scope of the month tonight for a 15 Uncrustable Bonus! If he were to sew up 10 face lacs he’ll add another $20 in Starbucks store credit!”
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy needs a half sack Saturday vs. the Browns to get to 12 for this season and trigger a $250,000 incentive. If Van Noy were to get 2.5 sacks Saturday, and get to 14 on the season, he would earn another $250,000, giving him the chance to make an additional $500K today.

In isolation from other risk factors for local recurrence, select patients with low- to intermediate- grade parotid and submandibular gland cancers who have close surgical margins may be safely considered for observation. https://t.co/Bi4FJx22bf

My name is Jack Stein, an MS4 at @UABHeersink applying into ENT for #Match2024. Outside of the OR, I’m passionate about soccer, music, global health, and @vucommodores. Excited to connect with all the other applicants this cycle!

As the world grieves with the Covenant community, may they hold on to the hope they have in the resurrection of Jesus.

Chad was my pastor at Covenant for two years while I was in college. My heart breaks for his family and the five others who lost family on Monday. Much could be said about the tragedy and deservedly so, but I can’t look past the sermon Chad himself preached just 3 weeks ago:
NEW: Statement from Chad Scruggs, Senior Pastor for Covenant Presbyterian Church & father of Hallie Scruggs who died in the shooting:
"We are heartbroken. She was such a gift. Through tears we trust that she is in the arms of Jesus who will raise her to life once again." @WKRN
In it he says, “A strong confidence in the end of the story does not undo or justify the absence of grief in the middle. A mature faith adds it’s tears to the sadness of the world…all the while not losing confidence in how the sadness will one day be overcome in Him.”
Lucky beyond words to join the great folks at @UMichCTSurgery and to have @cooleyabigailm just down the road at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Go Blue! @GAilawadiMD @M_S_Sow
Expect tip-off to be 15 minutes later than scheduled as fans from both schools are sure to be delayed outside the gym telling each other where they went to undergrad
One of the unique "joys" of medical school they don't tell you about is that every now and then they pull you from an afternoon of seeing real patients to go see fake patients, who are in fact perfectly healthy
And if you're lucky, expect results in 2-3 business months
Unbelievable news. A push back against a devastating diagnosis often ignored by trials like these because it affects those without the resources required to fight it. Dr. Farmer would be proud

Results published in the New England Journal of Medicine show that a much shorter treatment regimen for drug-resistant TB is safer and cured almost 90 percent of patients https://t.co/aNyQj7hW8D
