This is not a joke. In these times, we are unbelievably seeing a proposal for a quarry extension into 50+ hectares of #AncientWoodland. That's about 70 football pitches of precious habitat. Mind-boggling that @Kent_cc is even considering this.
Please take the time to object!
This one really hits me. I visited the felled tree yday and saw its severed limbs lying around. A healthy ancient oak with wonderful veteran features. Calling ancient trees dead and felling them for 'safety reasons' is just wildly unacceptable. You should be ashamed @tobycarvery
Amazing work gang and big kudos to @Adele_R_B for driving this campaign forward to reach this crucial milestone! Time to secure that heritage status for trees π³π²

The Norwich Western Link Road would be disastrous for Norfolkβs wildlife - dozens of veteran trees are at risk of loss, among many other important habitats. Please take the @NorfolkWT action supported by @WoodlandTrust! https://t.co/lw5CTv49Yp
Destruction of a precious ancient bluebell woodland in the Kent countryside under a deluge of illegal landfill waste shows the utter failure of environmental law, complete inaction by the authorities & increasing lawlessness in the UK. Let me tell you the story of Hoads Wood π§΅
Loved helping to organise this brilliant event bringing light to the devastating impact that @ShropCouncil's North West Relief Road would have on veteran trees in Shrewsbury. Protect the #DarwinOak, sign the petition: https://t.co/nKkM2g1sUu
Calling Shropshire people, join myself, @WoodlandTrust, Better Shrewsbury Transport and @thetreehunter on Saturday 23 March to oppose the Shrewsbury NW road scheme. Don your best outfit and help #SaveTheDarwinOak!
A beautiful and touching piece of cinema, with one of the best performances of this decade at its centre. Read my full review of All of Us Strangers for @NerdlyUK
@MatthewJDalby@WoodlandTrust Tried again after your initial angry little outburst? Honoured that you think charities have the power to cancel a multi-billion pound project, wouldnβt dare to blame HS2 management and Government right?
@MatthewJDalby@WoodlandTrust What an absolute reach Matthew. Horrible project management and eye-watering construction costs are to blame, not the irreplaceable habitats in the way.
