After Chargers left I was a fan without a team, went several years before deciding to become a Rams fan before 2022 season.

They promptly won the SB and I felt… nothing. No joy, no excitement. The whole point of being a fan.

A warning to anyone considering Jim’s “advice”

[Jim Bowden⚾️ @JimBowdenGM]

@TalkingFriars My suggestion was if ur fed up of losing and want to win...it's ok if YOU decide to be a Dodgers fan just because you live in a different city. In no way did I imply that if someone feels strong about how they were raised or how loyal they were to their city to change alliances.

Today unofficially marks the end of the Seidler era and that's sad to me. This has been some of the most fun I've ever had as a fan. And maybe it'll continue on, but there's certainly no guarantee of that. Peter disrupted things, upended things. I'll always be grateful for that.

Hey @SDGE my power and six of my neighbors has been out since 4pm and is still not back on, I have yet to see anyone out here working on the issue, and I can’t get updates from your call center because they keep disconnecting.

Is this the kind of service you want to provide?

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@SheaBenton @echo5juliet Literally from a group text yesterday.

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@SheaBenton @echo5juliet Lmao, you are not the first to ask me this.

The guy probably chose that name because he listens to a lot of Grateful Dead.

I basically use Twitter for news so this completely ruins the whole point of the app for me. It takes like 5-10 minutes to scroll through 600 tweets.

I expect this will be lifted in another hour or two.

To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:

- Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
- Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
- New unverified accounts to 300/day

Is it game time yet?

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@NWSSanDiego quite a bit of hail in La Mesa tonight.

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@theianclampett I have not slept, gave my dog a wash and a buzz cut, hand scrubbed every inch of floor he touched.

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

My dog getting skunked at midnight is turning out to be every bit as awful as I imagined. 😵‍💫🤢🤮😵

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@TJMacSD Latex cleaning gloves
Baking soda
Hydrogen peroxide
Gentle dish soap

And finally whatever you need to be able to give your dog a buzz cut.

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@katieshowland Whole side of his face got blasted. 😬

Mostly clean now but he’s about to get a buzz cut.

Then I’ll be scrubbing my kitchen floor with bleach the rest of the wee hours.

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

@MarshallAndersn Why you selling a Machado jersey?!

[ESPN Insights @ESPNInsights]

The Jaguars are the first team to win a playoff game with a -5 TO margin or worse. Teams were 0-26 in this situation entering today.

Overall, teams won just 4.5% of the time (29-670-5) with a TO margin of -5 or worse in the regular season AND playoffs prior to tonight.

[NFL Stats @NFL_Stats]

The #Chargers are the 1st team to have a +5 turnover margin in a playoff game and lose

[Jack Straw @jacktstraw]

I swear, the year after Spanos eventually sells the team I’m putting money on the Chargers to win it all. It’s pretty much guaranteed to happen.
