In September 2025, 43 year old North Dakota farmer Randy Fyllesvold was killed in a vehicle collision near Maxbass. He left behind his wife Kharra, their two young sons, and 1,400 acres of unharvested corn, soybeans, and canola. With winter approaching and an untouched crop threatening devastating financial loss, the family was facing an impossible situation.
Two of Randy's close friends, Wyatt Thompson and Andy Gates, stepped in and quietly organized a massive volunteer effort to save the farm. Roughly 75 farmers from more than 10 surrounding communities answered the call. They brought 12 combines, 7 grain carts, and over 40 semi trucks. Working from morning
until night, the crew split up across the fields and finished the entire multi thousand acre harvest in just a few days, at no cost to the family.
Randy's widow called the sight of the fleet entering the fields "nothing short of breathtaking." It was a powerful reminder of how rural communities show up for each other when it matters most.
Had the privilege of visiting the headquarters of Baidu, a remarkable center of innovation and technological leadership. The organization’s culture reflects a clear vision for the future, supported by exceptional talent, ambitious thinking, and a relentless focus on advancing the frontiers of technology.
It was particularly insightful to engage with teams driving transformative initiatives across multiple domains and to gain a deeper understanding of how innovation is translated into real-world impact at scale. Experiencing a ride in an autonomous vehicle was especially compelling, providing a firsthand perspective on the maturity of the technology and its potential to redefine mobility in the years ahead.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn from one of the world’s leading technology companies and to witness the innovation shaping the future of the digital economy.

Trying to put my finger on why this video is so moving.
Of course it's a physically impressive rescue. But there's something about his demeanor. so steady, and patient leaning into the crashing walls of water, whatever his fate may be.
Then learning how young he is
🚨WOW. Child Dramatically Rescued in Santa Cruz yesterday
A 16yr old Lifeguard went VIRAL for the rescue, exhibiting STUNNING lifesaving skills
As onlookers attempted to help, they too were almost swept away, the young lifeguard telling them to save themselves
The man who captured dramatic video of a 10-year-old boy being rescued from huge waves in California speaks out about the 16-year-old lifeguard’s incredible bravery: “I could see this white dot that was the young man’s head just getting pulled, sucked right back out to the ocean… the lifeguard just fearlessly charged into those giant waves.”
We’re going to bring this heroic young man, and his family, into the White House with, perhaps, the boy he saved, to give him a High Civilian Honor. Very brave, he deserves it! President DONALD J. TRUMP
During my state visit to China, I visited Robot Mall, where the integration of advanced technology and retail innovation is remarkably impressive. Observing robots in action has transformed the shopping experience, showcasing how automation can enhance efficiency and customer engagement.
Beyond retail, robots are also playing an increasingly important role in healthcare, assisting medical professionals, supporting patient care, improving precision in procedures, and helping streamline hospital operations. This demonstrates how robotics can create meaningful benefits across multiple aspects of our lives.
This visit underscores the potential for technology to redefine our everyday interactions and reshape industries. I am optimistic about the future, where technology and daily life harmoniously converge to improve both convenience and well-being.

Today I finally understood something about Donald Trump that I had been missing this entire time. And when it hit me — it hit me completely. Because, look at who this man chose to surround himself with.
Not billionaires.
Not people born into power.
Not people who had everything handed to them.
Karoline Leavitt — 27 years old. Ice cream shop girl from New Hampshire.
Trump looked at her and saw something the entire world missed.
Made her the youngest Press Secretary in American history.
Susie Wiles — a woman who has spent her whole life quietly strategizing from the background.
No fame. No spotlight. Just pure brilliance.
Trump looked at her and said — you will be my Chief of Staff. First female Chief of Staff in American history.
JD Vance — a soldier. A boy from Appalachia who served his country in uniform before he ever served it in office.
Trump looked at him and said — you will stand beside me.
Pete Hegseth — a soldier who gave everything on the battlefield. Two Bronze Stars.
Trump looked at him and said — you will lead our military.
Marco Rubio — the son of a bartender and a hotel maid. Two immigrants who came to America with nothing.
Trump looked at their son and made him the first Latino Secretary of State in American history.
My wife heard all of this tonight and said, "Do you understand what Trump actually did?
He did not build a powerful administration.
He built an unbreakable one."
Because every single person in it knows what it feels like to have nothing. And people who came from nothing never take anything for granted.
Tonight, say one prayer for this entire administration. And say a bigger one for the man who chose them.
Then pass this to every American who needs to understand why this administration hits different from every single one that came before it (Jeff Roush)
What can I even say to sum up the last six weeks?
Without a doubt, it’s been the trip of a lifetime. I’ve seen and experienced things I never dreamed of.
Throughout this journey I kept hearing the phrase “America the Beautiful.” At first I thought it was about the landscapes, and yes, this country is unbelievably beautiful.
But for me, “America the Beautiful” is actually about you, the people.
I’ve never experienced such warmth and kindness anywhere else in the world. Everywhere we went, people welcomed us with open arms, invited us into their communities, shared their stories, wanted to hear ours, and surprised us with their generosity.
I get you have your differences but please don’t take each other for granted. This doesn’t exist everywhere. What you have here is special, and being American is special.
To everyone I met along the way, thank you!!
To everyone who’s followed this adventure here on X, thank you for coming along for the ride. It’s been an absolute joy sharing these memories with you all.
And to everyone who’s sick of seeing my posts…you can finally relax 😂
Goodbye, America 🇺🇸
