Seeker-sensitive pragmatism never went away. It just switched customer bases. Whether it’s future ex-vangelicals who want social gospel lite or dudes who are more interested in “ruling their families” than they are in knowing Jesus, consumeristic Christianity is still dominant.
Our church is gathering on Christmas Day because it’s the Lord’s Day, and I think yours should too. We can talk about it, but I’ll spend zero minutes looking down on you for disagreeing with me. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
These kids take hard subjects in school.
Students in your church are taking:
- biology
- geometry
- calculus
- trigonometry
- literature
They are capable of learning the Bible and grasping theology. But we must teach it.
