Today’s Player of the Day TreyShun Hurry (@TreyShunHurry2 )
At 6’2”, 195 lbs, the former unranked receiver out of Paraclete High School. He surged onto the scene in his senior season, producing the stat line of:
801 yards.
36 receptions.
11 touchdowns.
22.3 yards per catch.
He took that opportunity to Weber State , where he redshirted in 2022 and adjusted to the speed of the college game. By 2023, you started to see flashes. 29 catches, 384 yards, and a growing presence in the offense.
A move to San Jose State Spartans football, where his game continued to evolve. The route tree expanded, the separation became more consistent, the confidence showed with his increased production:
482 yards.
28 receptions.
Over 17 yards per catch.
That’s a receiver becoming a true vertical threat. When he entered the portal again, the attention followed. Power 4 programs came calling. Opportunities were there.
But it was the Cards and Deion Branch that earned his commitment.
2025 brought its challenges. Injuries slowed him at times, but what stood out wasn’t what he couldn’t do, it was how he responded. He grew in his understanding of the offense, embraced his role, and stayed the course in a time where many would have moved on. He showcased loyalty and perseverance in a time the program deeply needed it.
Because what he brings into 2026 is more than just experience. It is continuity. It’s big play ability. It is elite route running that creates separation in critical moments. This is a receiver who thrives over the middle, who sees the field well with the ball in his hands, and who can make defenders miss in space.
And in a wide receiver room as complete as this one, he’s a key piece of what makes it go. Because TreyShun Hurry is not just another option. He is a weapon that is ready to remind people why he earned it the hard way.
